4 What we offer General Peru Roundtrips Knowing that time is often the biggest constraint, we have carefully put together some sample itineraries that capture the spirit of Peru in 7-14 days. Some are designed for families, some for hiking, others emphasize the Peruvian cuisine, or a more archeological or nature observation component. We encourage you to review the list of extensions and modifications to adapt our sample itineraries to your interests, budget, and expectations.

5 Specialty Tours Educational Tours can focus on Peru overall, archeology, history, and rainforest conservation. We design the itinerary carefully to address a more detailed handling of our focus, we have pertinent reading materials, hold evening presentations and have local experts join us for dinner or presentations. Birding tours are about nearness to the best bird life without compromising comfort altogether. Often, bird watching tours are time intense and may require additional travel for specific habitats. We go out of our way to make sure you see the species we promised you. Check lists are reviewed every evening. Though there are many great bird watching guides in Peru, we work primarily with Thomas Valqui, who has himself discovered 3 new native species in and has published 2 books on birdwatching in Peru. Photo safaris revolve around being in the right location with the right light and patience. This may require long waiting periods or getting up before sunrise to catch Machu Picchu, Andean flamingos macws at the clay lick or even jumping whales in beautiful light. Logistics for photographers require us to have bigger buses and often book double seats to comfortably secure their equipment. We work with professional photographer Michael Tweddle who regularly holds photography workshops and has many years of experience guiding in Peru. Home stays can be organized in the town of Willoq and combined with the Sacred Valley experience. Although families offer a room in their house for overnight stay, we suggest to consider a day room to spend a fun filled and interesting day with the local hosts. Science and Conservation we have partnered with CORBIDI and The Flamingo Conservation Group (GCFA) to monitor and census wildlife. We offer select volunteer opportunities and the possibility to participate in research.

6 Fixed Departures Lago Soledad Lodge Amazon Research and Conservation Center (with Thomas Valqui, Ph.D). Expect to see over 200 species during a birding trip with Dr Valqui to the Lago Soledad Lodge in southeastern Peru. Includes macaw claylicks, canopy towers, a private lake and 10 km of rainforest trails including bamboo. The birders conquer the Andes Travel along the Pacific Coast to Paracas, Nasca and the Pampas Galeras National Reserve through Andean passes and interandean valleys all the way to Cusco. The 1000 species road- The Manu road from Cusco to MWC This 11 day trip starts in Cusco and crosses over the Andes, Inter-Andean valleys, puna, cloud forest, Amazonian highlands, Amazonian lowlands all the way to the Manu Wildlife Center. Expect to see 400 species with some endemics as well.

7 Lago Soledad Lodge Join us for 3, 4 or 5 days in the remote Amazon rainforest of southeastern Peru. Hike up from the Sacred Valley to join the last stretch of the Inca Trail in Wiñay Huayna and arrive to Machu Picchu through the Sungate.
