1 7 Days Central Hokkaido: Summer Highlights of Hokkaido -Sea of Clouds, Flower Fields, Lakes, Food and Activities: Enjoy it all! Cuisine, scenery, outdoor activities, shopping - people come to Hokkaido with different intentions. This is a course that will provide you all in one. Visiting the most popular destinations of central Hokkaido, in beautiful summer. Highlights are the Unkai Terrace in Tomamu, Flower fields in Furano, Cherry picking, Otaru Canal, Outdoor activities in Niseko, fireworks at Lake Toya, and of course Sapporo City. Itinerary: Day 1: Chitose Airport - Tomamu Day 2 Tomamu - Furano Day 3 Furano - Asahikawa Day 4 Asahikawa - Otaru Day 5 Otaru - Lake Toya Asahikawa Day 6 Lake Toya - Sapporo Sapporo Furano Day 7 Sapporo - Free Day Otaru Day 8 Sapporo - Chitose Airport Tomamu Chitose Airport Lake Toya - 1 -

Take it easy after your long flight, how about strolling through the woods and listen to some nice birds singing, it s beautiful!

2 Day 1 Chitose Airport Tomamu Welcome to Hokkaido! You will be welcomed with one of the sweetest fruits on earth: Yubari King, the king of melons. The first night will be in Tomamu, a resort in the mountains surrounded by great nature. Take it easy after your long flight, how about strolling through the woods and listen to some nice birds singing, it s beautiful! Day 2 Tomamu - Furano Pray for good weather on this day and wake up early! After taking the cable car up Mt. Tomamu, you can enjoy the clouds at your feet, covering the valleys in the early morning. Mountains sticking out of the clouds look like islands in the ocean: gorgeous! After enjoying the morning on the mountain, drive to Furano, a town famous for flower fields. Stroll through the flower fields, take pictures and enjoy the great dairy products from the farms around

Day 3 Furano Asahikawa Enjoy some Cherry Picking (as much as you can!) in the morning. For those that didn t see enough flowers yet, another stop at one of the flower fields can be arranged.

Day 4 Asahikawa Otaru After a visit at the most popular Japanese Zoo: Asahiyama Zoo, drop by at Hokuryu, a town with many sunflower fileds.

Old bank buildings and warehouses are still left from the times when this town was thriving of herring fishing.

3 Day 3 Furano Asahikawa Enjoy some Cherry Picking (as much as you can!) in the morning. For those that didn t see enough flowers yet, another stop at one of the flower fields can be arranged. The blue pond outside Biei is also worth a visit. A picture of it was chosen as a wallpaper by apple for their products! Stay in Asahikawa on this day. Day 4 Asahikawa Otaru After a visit at the most popular Japanese Zoo: Asahiyama Zoo, drop by at Hokuryu, a town with many sunflower fileds. After taking some nice pictures in the flowers, Drive to Otaru, a nostalgic port town outside Sapporo. Old bank buildings and warehouses are still left from the times when this town was thriving of herring fishing. Enjoy the delicious seafood and shopping in this town, which is famous for glass, music boxes, cheese cake and chocolate. Day 5 Otaru - Lake Toya Drive through the fields around Mt.Yotei and stop by for some refreshment at the Kyogoku Springs (fresh drinking water). You can enjoy outdoor activities such as Rafting, Canoeing, Horseback riding, Hiking, Biking, etc. in Niseko, which is on the way! Hotels in Toya have wonderful baths with a view over the lake. Fireworks are held over the lake every night during the summer months

Day 6 Lake Toya Sapporo Watch Higuma Brown Bears catch the apples you through at the Showa Shinzan Bear Park and enjoy the amazing view over the lake from the peak of Mt.Usu, an active volcano.

Apart from the many shopping facilities, you can also visit the TV tower, Clock tower, Sapporo Beer Breweries and more.

4 Day 6 Lake Toya Sapporo Watch Higuma Brown Bears catch the apples you through at the Showa Shinzan Bear Park and enjoy the amazing view over the lake from the peak of Mt.Usu, an active volcano. Walk through the Hell Valley in Noboribetsu, with steaming rivers and lakes, before driving to Sapporo. Day 7 Sapporo - Free Day Enjoy a day in Sapporo at your leisure. Apart from the many shopping facilities, you can also visit the TV tower, Clock tower, Sapporo Beer Breweries and more.don t forget to try Sapporo Ramen, Genghis Khan or Soup Curry at one of the many restaurants downtown. Day 8 Sapporo - Chitose Airport Even the last day has to be enjoyed! Sapporo has many shopping facilities! Go shopping downtown before heading to the airport or enjoy the shopping on the way, at one of the outlet malls near the airport. In case if you didn t have enough, there is a lot of seafood to buy and eat, and Onsen is available as well
