He earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia in Before arriving at UNLV in 1980, Dr. Thompson taught at Western Michigan University from 1971 to He also taught abroad at Troy State University in Europe from 1986 to His research interests include administrative behavior, political economy, public regulation of gaming, and ethics. ^ Return to Table of Contents - Page 3-

4 Scope and Contents Note The William Thompson Photographs primarily depict casinos in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan from 1955 to The collection primarily depicts casinos in Nevada, Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, North Dakota, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, and Texas.
