Redmond, Washington The city of Redmond is located about 15 miles east of Seattle. High-tech industry giants such as Microsoft and Nintendo of America are among the city s major employers.

For outdoor fun, nearby Marymoor Park is one of Redmond s most popular places to play. This 500-acre state park has bike trails, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, a velodrome, rock climbing wall, and a famous 40- acre off-leash dog park. Redmond s weather is mild with few extremes. In the summer it remains about 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and during the winter it rarely falls below freezing. The area is known for frequent light rains, which help promote the growth and beauty of the plentiful evergreen trees. The area is known for its lakes and mountains, coffee, internet companies, and arts community. Seattle has all the attractions of a large city, with many museums, theaters, shopping districts, and diverse neighborhoods.
