2 The History, 1864: The land was sold to Sir Thomas who built a large house. November 2, 1874: Mr. Thomas obtained the qualification of becoming a landlord. April 23, 1882: New owners: Mr. Gérôme and his wife New owner: Mr. Dombrot, created a coffee shop under the name of Restaurant du Lac September 15, 1896: Construction of a hotel of three floors. Mr. Dombrot agrees to run under the name Beau Rivage December 10, 1925: New purchaser of the hotel: a SARL of two companies. Monsieur Roquefort-Villeneuve was named manager. 31 August 1929: New Director: Henri Scheidig, which becomes the only owner in 1931 after almost total takeover of the company's capital purchase by Mr. Harasse who completely renovates rooms. Reopening of the "New" Beau Rivage in March Complete renovation of the "Cote Lac" restaurant 2003: Creation of the lounges near the restaurant and penthouse suites. 2004: Construction of a new building, the restaurant on the second floor, with a panoramic view, "Toit du Lac", and 4 flexible seminar rooms, 4 executive rooms, a spa and a pool. 2005: Redevelopment of the terrace outside the hotel. 2011: Creation of a new massage room with relaxation room and a smoking room : Renovation of rooms overlooking the lake project: Renovation of the village side rooms and creation of 6 additional bedrooms on the 3rd floor.

3 A Access Code: The access code of the hotel is given to you on arrival and can be used if you return to the hotel after 23 h. The security keypad is located on the right side of the carpark door (which is the only access at night). Make sure you carry it with you if you plan to return during the night. Adapter and transformer: Electrical systems are supplied with 220 V. We have, in case of need and subject to availability, a range of adapters and transformers at the reception. Additional linen: If you want extra linen (bath towels, bath mats...) please ask at reception. Our esthetician Laura offers appointments for a wide range of Sothys treatments: massages, relaxation, beauty treatments for face and body... In addition, each season has a beauty "event". Do not hesitate to ask at the reception. Belle Rive: For your seminars and all types of events (receptions, family events...) we can offer you our 4 meeting rooms "Belle Rive" with technical equipment on request. Please make your requirements known to our sales department at for more information. Billing: A copy of your invoice will be given to you on your departure. Your additional purchases (telephone, room service, miscellaneous expenses...) will be included. Blankets and pillows: You can get extra blankets and pillows on request from reception. Breakfast: Breakfast is served as a buffet from 7am to 10am weekdays and 7am to 10.30am on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. You can have breakfast in your room (extra 2 euros). Boutique: In the reception hall, several products are displayed for your enjoyment: - Pampering and beauty products from our partner Sothys - Local products including vosgiennes confectionery from the Vosges area of Plainfaing and wines from Fritz Sigolsheim. - "unique pieces" of jewelry made by Ms. Lozay, jewelery from Begin Grandemange and handmade African jewelery sold in aid of an association. - We propose a Winter Pass ski pass for Gerardmer to prevent you from queing at the slopes. - Ticket Bol d'air (outdoor activities). The name of Gerardmer appears in the tenth century when Gérard d'alsace, Duke of Lorraine, charmed by the site, decided to build a tower used as a shelter and hunting lodge. He gave his name to the hamlet "Giromeix" (that is to say Gérards garden) which later became "Gérardmeix" (Meix: rural homes with farms) or Gérardmé then Gerardmer (pronounced "Gérardmé") Gift boxes: Refer to Box or Gift box. " you can enjoy traditional and regional cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. There is also a wellness area (sauna, hammam, massages (modelling type)) and of course you also free access to the pool in Beau Rivage. Parking You can park your car in our private and non-gated parking. We ask you to lock your car and do not leave your valuables within. The hotel can not be held liable for damage or theft of your vehicle. We also have a closed garage (10 euro per night for cars and 6 euro per night for motorcycles). Pets: Your pets are welcome at the hotel provided they are clean and quiet (extra 10 euro per day excluding food). Phone: The hotel charges for external communications and the charges will appear on your invoice. To make an external call, you must first dial "0" (zero) followed by the country code or region. At the Hotel de la Paix, La Brasserie de la P. welcomes you from Tuesday noon on Sunday from 12h to 14h and from 19h to 21h (weekly closing Sunday evening and Mondays, open 7 days / 7 during school holidays and public holidays). Religious services: A religious service is held at the Catholic church Gerardmer) 18h Saturday and Sunday at 10am. A Catholic church in Xonrupt-Longemer Sunday at 10am.
