There is also some important news this winter, both for our loyal guests and our new ones: after 40 years of distinguished service, the old two-seater chairlift for the intermediate Mount Elmo station has been replaced by a very comfortable 6-seater heated chairlift. And at the top, there are two new downhill slopes to delight skiers of every age, ideal for trying your hand at carving or serpentine turns. There s also lots of fun to be had on the Family Funslopes, with just the right mix of vertical turns, waves, snow tunnels and bridges. And finally, you shouldn t miss out on some delicious South Tyrolean cuisine: the new Zin Fux mountain hut has now joined the long list of delightful restaurants on the slopes. Winter holiday without car Explore the thousand delights of our winter world, without ever driving: the Leitlhof shuttle service is a practical, convenient alternative to using your car. Within a radius of 60 km from San Candido, the Dolomites play host to some very exciting snow sports. 12 World Cup within 60 km: suspense is assured. The air crackles with tension and excitement. 13 13 The Leitlhof was among the trailblazers in South Tyrol with regard to climate protection. This initiative and other measures are all aimed at conserving our extraordinary natural surroundings. The owners of the Leitlhof have been dedicated to protection of the environment and to sustainability for many years. They were among the first to take the opportunity to offer holidays that do not impact on the climate. The greatest sources of CO 2 emissions in a hotel are electricity, heating, and laundry services. In addition to reducing these emissions, the Leitlhof also takes other measures to help protect the climate: the hotel s thermal energy system produces heat and electricity with wood from its own forests. When selecting craftsmen or products for the hotel, we prefer to use local suppliers, both to avoid long journeys and to generate wealth in our community. We grow our own herbs and vegetables and rear our own sheep on the Mühlhof family farm. The Hotel Leitlhof practises strict waste separation, in order to recycle as much as possible. All our detergents are environmentally friendly. The entire company culture is based on principles that protect the environment. Much more than a machine How is energy produced from wood? What s the best way to run a thermal energy system? The expert for such questions is Stephan, the junior proprietor of the Leitlhof. The thermal energy system is his responsibility, and he knows it better than anyone else. Guests who are interested can visit his kingdom, and it often amazes them: for example, did you know that with this system CO 2 emissions have been reduced from 80 kg per guest per night to only 12 kg? 120 KG OF CO 2 EMISSIONS PER GUEST PER NIGHT (compared to: 120 kg in similar hotels)

Reductions for children The following reductions are applicable for children sharing their parents room: up to 2 years old: 80 % discount 3 5 years old: 60 % discount 6 14 years old: 30 % discount 15 years and above: 10% discount Treat yourself to a well-deserved rest on one of the water beds or comfortable loungers in our scenic relaxation room on the first floor, with views of the beautiful mountains around San Candido. Keep in shape by doing exercises in our bright fitness room (you can ask for an hour s introduction). Green Holiday For some years now, our hotel has been classified as a climate neutral business. We promote green holidays because we want to respect and conserve the extraordinary natural landscape of South Tyrol. How do we do that? Among other things, we offer a free shuttle service for our guests, an electric car charging station, and a free Holidaypass, allowing you to use all public transport in South Tyrol. But our most important contribution is our wood-fuelled thermal energy system, which has enabled us to reduce CO 2 emissions per guest from 85.5 kg to approx. 12 kg. Ski Shuttle The free daily Ski Shuttle takes our guests to the lift stations in the Alta Pusteria ski area. Comfortable, safe and environmentally friendly.
