You were chosen to attend the TIG Excellence Conference this year because you consistently demonstrate the qualities of our 4 TIG Vision elements by striving for excellence, being a proud contributor who finds innovative solutions, managing an always-on approach, and exemplifying first choice for our business partners. The theme of this September's conference will center on Growth, Possibilities, and Success - three ideas each of you are already familiar with as TIG Excellence Champions. But my hope is that you will leave the event with a better understanding of them and a deeper appreciation of their value to you, the TIG organization, and our business partners. 2 General Information Program Information The event officially kicks off at 5:00pm on Wednesday evening, September 20 th, with a welcome reception. The event ends on the evening of Thursday, September 21 st. An optional breakfast will be provided on the morning of Friday, September 22 nd. Program Inclusions Your award, for you and your guest (age 18 or older) includes: round-trip air, round-trip ground transportation between airport and hotel, hotel accommodations for the nights of September 20 th and 21 st, breakfast on Thursday and Friday, lunch on Thursday, dinner each evening, and an optional activity for you and your guest. Activities The afternoon of Thursday, September 21 st will be at your leisure to participate in one of the sponsored activities, take the shopping shuttle, or simply enjoy free time. Your award, for you and your guest, includes one optional sponsored activity for each of you, which you will select during online registration. Since we must commit to a specified number of people for activities, you will not be able to change your activity after registration closes, but you are welcome to visit the hospitality desk at the event to ask about swapping activities with other attendees. Personal Expenses You are responsible for all personal incidentals (such as bar charges, room service, laundry, phone calls, movies, additional activities, etc.). Registration Before registering, please make sure you and your guest have chosen your activities and have all other pertinent information available for the event. Click here to register. Climate The San Diego climate is mild in September, with an average in the high 70 s and lows in the mid 60 s. There does tend to be a marine layer (which is similar to fog) in the morning, and you will be outdoors one evening, so be sure to bring a light jacket or wrap.

3 Attire Attire for most functions and activities is resort casual (what you would wear on a warm-weather vacation), except for the Thursday evening reception and dinner, which is business attire (Jacket and tie for men and dressy pant suits, skirts, or dresses for women). In general, you ll want to bring comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for your selected activity. Also recommended are sandals, shorts, a visor/hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera. Whatever you decide to pack, remember to leave enough room for souvenirs! Time Zone In September, San Diego operates on PDT (Pacific Daylight Time). 5 Travel Located on Coronado Island, Loews Coronado is spectacularly situated on its own 15-acre private peninsula, completely surrounded by beautiful San Diego Bay, with direct Pacific beach access. Downtown San Diego, sightseeing and the Mexican border are only 10 to 20 minutes away. The waterside setting features an 80-slip marina, three bayside tennis courts, three heated swimming pools and twin hydra-spas, easy access to miles of pristine Pacific beach, a state-of-the-art health club, stylish salon and great gift shops. Loews Coronado offers the best of both worlds. A world-class resort on their own private peninsula, Loews Coronado is a place where you can get away from it all! Hotel Accommodations One room will be confirmed for you and your adult guest (must be 18 or older) at the Loews Coronado Bay for arrival on Wednesday, September 20 and departure on Friday, September 22. Please complete the online registration to request your housing reservations, indicating your room preferences and accommodation dates. Room reservations will be made for you based on the information you provide. Please do not contact the hotel directly for any reservation questions. All hotel reservations will be made through TIG Event Registration. Please note that during registration you will be asked if your guest requires a hotel room. Please indicate "yes" and proceed with their information. Your guest will share a room with you, but for hotel purposes we require the names of both occupants. Your registration acknowledgement will then indicate that both you and your guest have a room. If you need to make changes after you have submitted your registration, you may do so until August 18, 2006, or until your flights have been booked with Azumano (whichever date comes first). After that date, please TIGEVENTS@wellsfargo.com. Include TIG Excellence in the subject line. Hotel check-in time is after 4:00 PM. Every effort will be made to make your room available earlier if possible, but if not, the bell desk will keep your luggage until your room is available. Please keep valuables and medications in your carry-on bag. Hotel check-out time is 11:00 AM. Late check-outs will be billed to your personal credit card. Hotel Sleeping Room Amenities Complimentary amenities to your room include an in-room safe, hairdryer, bathrobe, iron, ironing board, and 32 inch LCD flat-screen television. Other features available at an additional cost include high-speed internet access and mini-bar.

6 Extensions to your stay Extensions to nights at the Loews Coronado will be on a first come, first served basis, and hotel availability will be confirmed in advance before your airline tickets are issued. The special room rate extended to the conference group will be extended 3 days prior and 3 days post-conference on a space available basis. The rate given to the TIG Excellence Conference group 3 days prior and 3 days post-conference (September 17-25) is $209 per night + 8% tax. This totals approximately $226 per night, which will be charged to your personal credit card. If you choose to extend your stay more than three days prior or post conference, the rate per night will increase to the current market rate, currently quoted at approximately $357. If you plan to extend your stay beyond the dates of our program, your extension plans should be noted in online registration. An Azumano Travel Specialist will call you within 7 business days of receiving your Travel Request to assist with your extension plans. We have secured special airfares for the program dates, and changes or extensions may result in higher airfares. In this case, you will be responsible to pay the difference in airfare price. Air Travel Please complete the registration to request your travel reservations online by clicking the Registration link. An Azumano Travel Specialist will call you within seven business days of receiving your registration to finalize your travel arrangements. You will receive your E-Tickets once your flights have been confirmed. A copy of your complete itinerary will be ed to you for reference, and your flight information will also be included in the final confirmation that you will receive approximately 2 weeks prior to your departure. Special airfares were negotiated for this program. In some cases, these flights will involve a connection. Based on your discussion with the agent, airline tickets will be issued using our special negotiated airfares. Most airline tickets carry penalties and restrictions for changes and/or cancellations once a ticket has been issued. Because of this, name changes are not allowed and seat assignment preferences will be requested, but are not always guaranteed. Please be certain of your guest name and flight requests when registering, as they cannot be changed once the flight is booked. Ground Transportation between Airport and Hotel The Loews Coronado Bay is located approximately 20 minutes from the San Diego Airport. Upon arrival at the San Diego airport, please proceed to baggage claim, and look for TIG Excellence Conference signs held by our local travel staff. You and your hosted guest will be assisted with luggage and escorted to the complimentary conference shuttle transportation. Ground transportation to the hotel will be available on the main arrival day only, Wednesday, September 20. Transportation back to the airport will be arranged on the main departure day only, Friday, September 22. 7 Activities Where the Animals are the Stars the San Diego Zoo! There are Beastly Wonders going on at the world famous San Diego Zoo and you will be a part of it during your private Behind-the-Scenes tour! The San Diego Zoo, founded by Dr. Harry M. Wegeforth in 1916, has grown from modest beginnings. First, you will enjoy lunch at the zoo. Next, you will experience a private Behind-the-Scenes tour, an extraordinary way to see the San Diego Zoo! Following the Behind-the-Scenes tour, you can further explore the Zoo and visit new and innovative exhibits - trademarks of the San Diego Zoo. Recent additions and renovations to the Zoo include: the Giant Panda Research Station, Gorilla Tropics, Hippo Beach, Polar Bear Plunge, Scripps Aviary, Tiger River, and Sun Bear Forest. Depart hotel at 11:30am Return to hotel at 5:00pm USS Midway VIP Tour You will enjoy a delicious seafood lunch at The Fish Market, a fun seafood restaurant which hovers over San Diego Bay. Who wouldn t appreciate fabulous food and views? Next take a VIP tour of the USS Midway, the newest addition to San Diego s naval history. Having the distinction of being the first carrier to be named after a WWII battle, the USS Midway was launched in 1945 and had a long and prestigious career in the US Navy, being reconfigured from a straight deck carrier to an angled deck carrier in In her 47-year history, the Midway participated in actions from the Korean War, Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm. She was decommissioned for the last time at North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego in On this tour, learn what the Midway Magic is all about. The tour will be led by Scott McGaugh, author of Midway Magic. For the past eight years, Scott McGaugh has played an active role in the campaign to bring the USS Midway to San Diego as a permanent museum, visitor attraction and education center. He's researched the history of CV-41, interviewing more than 300 crewmen, from war-scarred "plankowners" who took USS Midway to sea in 1945 to the teenagers who launched F/A-18 Hornets in Desert Storm. After the private VIP tour, explore the museum on your own. There are 54 different areas of the ship to visit, including the newly opened Officer s Country. This area of the ship includes areas such as fire stations, a laundry room, The Brig (jail), Quarters, a Kitchen, and Dining Halls. Experience a part of history! 8 Ocean Kayaking Adventure at the La Jolla Shores Caves Kayak touring is one of the fastest growing sports today. Evolving from ancient Eskimo design, modern kayaks have changed very little; state-of-the-art materials allow us to paddle light, beautiful kayaks silently and comfortably through many conditions and any waterway. Kayaking can open the natural wonders of our environment for you. You will be provided with a boxed lunch as you enjoy a trip to the La Jolla Shores Caves. After lunch, explore the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean in a kayak. You will be fitted with a life vest, paddle and kayak, and a personal guide will take you on an hour and a half tour. Even the beginning kayaker will enjoy this invigorating adventure! Activity Level: Moderate to High depending on the skill level. Length of activity: 4 hours. 10 Frequently Asked Questions Q: Are children allowed at the Sales and Service Conference? A: This conference is a business recognition event, and it is expected that both the winner and his or her adult guest (18 years or older) will attend all of the company-sponsored functions and be available for networking at other times. For this program, our policy will allow you to bring children/additional family members at your own expense which may involve an increase in your sleeping room rate. Your additional family members will not be allowed to participate in any company-sponsored functions (this includes airport transfers, activities, conference sponsored transportation, meals, etc.). Q: If I decide to bring my family, how do I arrange for room accommodations and flights? A: The Loews Coronado allows a total of four people to a room without an extra charge. There is an additional person charge per day for those 12 and older or for those younger who may require extra bedding. If you choose to bring self-paid guests, you will be able to make hotel requests during online registration. Our Azumano Agents can assist you in booking flights for additional guests. These would be charged directly to your personal credit card. Please include this request during online registration. You will be contacted within seven business days from receipt of your profile to discuss options. PLEASE NOTE: If you choose to bring additional guests at your own expense, it is not guaranteed that their air travel will be the same as yours. Azumano Travel will work with you to best accommodate special requests, but will also work to find the most cost-effective means of travel to San Diego. As we are not able to allow additional guests to participate in our hotel/airport shuttles, ground transportation for additional guests and its cost is your responsibility. Ground Transportation between the hotel and airport is available via Taxi for approximately $20+ gratuity each way. Q: How can I extend my trip? A: You may choose to extend your trip before or after the official conference dates. However, any extension travel or hotel costs are the responsibility of each individual. If you should want to extend your stay at a hotel other than the Loews Coronado, our group travel specialists at Azumano can assist you with travel plans and hotel accommodations other than the Loews. As we have secured special negotiated group airfares for the program, extensions may result in higher airfare. If this is the case, you and your guest are responsible to pay the difference in airfares. Q: What if the optional activity I choose is not available? A: Some activities have limited space, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. If your first activity choice is not available, you will be automatically assigned to your second choice. If you do not provide a second choice, our activity specialists will contact you to discuss alternatives. Although you may not change your confirmed activity before departure, there will be an option to check last-minute availability at the Hospitality Desk at the Excellence Conference. Q: How will I know that you received my registration form? A: Upon completing your online registration, you will receive an acknowledging that the process has been completed. Once your hotel accommodations and flight arrangements have been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation . This will arrive about 2 weeks prior to the event. Q: Will I receive a confirmation number for my hotel reservation? A: Because of the nature of group bookings, we will not be sending confirmation numbers but we guarantee a hotel room at the Loews Coronado Bay for you and your guest, on the program dates, based on the registration information you return to us. Your registration confirmation will also serve as your hotel room confirmation. Q: Will the time spent at the TIG Excellence Conference count against my PTO? A: The TIG Excellence Conference is a business meeting, and therefore will not count against your PTO. If you are a non-exempt employee, please enter your Webtime as you normally would for those days. For STAMP users, the time should be logged as: Project = "Admin" and the Activity = "General".
