One of the most exciting geomorphological structures of Lut is the special yardangs called Kaluts that look like the ruins of a big legendary city with grand palaces and buildings both short and high. Kaluts have generated by the extreme soil and water erosion and extended with the average width of 80km and average length of 145km from north-west to south-east of desert.
