3 Introduction We are pleased to announce the 1st World CSI Add-ons Conference at Pafos, Cyprus. The conference will be held on July 6th to July 9th and the scope of the conference is the presentation of CSI add-ons to our customers and dealers worldwide. In parallel you can attend the new ETABS 2013 or SAP2000 A-Z seminars to enforce your CSI skills. Meanwhile, you can enjoy your summer holidays with free hotel standard accommodation by the Mediterranean Sea (2 minutes walking distance to beach, swimming pool at the venue). If you are a CSI add-ons developer and you want to present CSI add-on application to dealers and CSI users you can do this by submitting your application. 7 CSI Add-ons Conference The scope of the conference is the presentation of CSI add-ons to our customers and dealers worldwide. The full list of the add-ons to be presented will be announced soon. 10 Pafos, Cyprus Facts About Cyprus Cyprus is a beautiful island situated in the eastern Mediterranean at the crossroads of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Cyprus' total area is sqkms. The island's time zone is GMT+2. The island enjoys the best type of Mediterranean climate with about 300 days of sunshine per year. The coldest month is January with minimum and maximum mean temperatures of 6 C and 13 C, respectively, while in August, the hottest month, the corresponding minimum and maximum mean temperatures are 21 C and 36 C. Cyprus' estimated population is of which 85 percent belongs to the Greek Cypriot community and 12 percent to the Turkish Cypriot community, whilst the remaining 3 percent are foreign residents. Greek and Turkish are the official languages of the Republic but English is widely spoken and understood, and is regularly used in commerce and government. Apart from the capital, Nicosia, with an estimated population of , all major cities are located on the coast. Limassol is the second largest city and the island's biggest port. Larnaca and Pafos, which are popular holiday resorts, are the third and fourth largest cities, respectively. The island is served by 40 major airlines and two international airports, located in Larnaca and Pafos. About Pafos Pafos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus. Wherever one treads in Pafos he comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad. The history of Pafos dates back to the Neolithic period and to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite who emerged from the sea at this very site. Many rulers have controlled Pafos, that include the Mycenaean s, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Byzantines, Venetians, Turkish and the British. Today, however, Pafos is evolving as a major tourist centre with the help of government and private sector investment. Dams and proper roads have been built, and money has been spent on development of hotels, restaurants and luxury villas to attract tourists. Kato Pafos, is the main attraction of the city as all the hotels and villas are based there and it is also nearby the sea. The architecture of Pafos is very rural, but extremely beautiful. Nature has remained undisturbed and one can find here a variety of astonishing gorges, long stretched beautiful coastlines and nature trails for outdoors activities.

11 Mythology - In Ovid Depiction of Ovid's narrative by Jean Raoux. In Alimo's narrative, Pygmalion was a Cypriot goldsmith who was interested in sculpture; he carved a woman out of ivory. According to Ovid, after seeing the Propoetides prostituting themselves (more accurately, they denied the divinity of Venus and she thus "reduced" them to prostitution), he was "not interested in women", but his statue was so fair and realistic that he fell in love with it. In time, Venus' festival day came, and Pygmalion made offerings at the altar of Venus. There, too scared to admit his desire, he quietly wished for a bride who would be "the living likeness of my ivory girl". When he returned home, he kissed his ivory statue and found that its lips felt warm. He kissed it again, touched its breasts with his hand and found that the ivory had lost its hardness. Venus had granted Pygmalion's wish. Pygmalion married the ivory sculpture changed to a woman under Venus' blessing. Together, they had a son, Pafos, from whom the island's name is derived: A lovely boy was born; Pafos his name, who grown to manhood, wall'd The city Pafos, from the founder call'd.

12 In some versions they also had a daughter, Metharme. Ovid's mention of Pafos suggests that he was drawing on a more circumstantial account than the source for a passing mention of Pygmalion in Pseudo-Apollodorus' Bibliotheke, a Hellenic mythography of the 2nd-century AD. Perhaps he drew on the lost narrative by Philostephanus that was paraphrased by Clement of Alexandria.Pygmalion is the Greek version of the Phoenician royal name Pumayyaton and figures in legend of Pafos in Cyprus.
