It welcomes beginners and families as it is possible to solely ski on the category blue slopes so as to access the highest summit. From this Winter, totems will be set up at the starting points of the ski slopes across the resort so as lone skiers can meet up and share the pleasure of a day on the slopes or enjoy a group descent. NEW WEBSITE AT SYBELLES.SKI DEVELOPMENT OF THE SLOPES The teams from Les Sybelles are always concerned with the well-being of skiers, and each season do all that they can to make sure that the best possible ski conditions are in place and permanently work to improve comfort, security and accessibility. This season again, work has been undertaken on the resort: The Boulevards slope at Saint-Sorlin-d Arves is developing with the extension of the top of the slope and the installation of a cultivated snow network to link the existing networks. The unloading platform of Plan du Moulin chairlift has been re-worked at Saint-Sorlin-d Arves. The cultivated snow network has been consolidated so as to secure and bolster the production capacity at La Toussuire. The Grande Vadrouille slope at Le Corbier has been redeveloped with inclusion of the route of the slope, its extension and installation of a cultivated snow network so as to guarantee a return to the ski resort at the foot of the slopes by a blue slope and a link with Saint-Jean-d Arves. 4 new ticket vending machines are available at Le Corbier. THE OUILLON SUMMIT, A NEW MEETING AREA The Pointe de l Ouillon is a strategic area on the Les Sybelles resort, as it links all of the six resorts. This Winter, it is to be developed into an immense structure named #Sybelles spanning 15 metres in length where skiers can sit down, relax and enjoy a meal on the picnic tables. It is a real fun and friendly place where it is fun to take time and enjoy the panoramic view. Ten picnic areas have been developed and are available across the entire ski domain to make the most of breaks. At Les Sybelles, a successful welcome involved effective communication. The ski domain s website has been populated with more information, streamlined navigation and quicker access to information. This activity has Created at the initiative of a handful of farmers in 1965, this cooperative works with 45 farmers from the valley who produce some 2.5 million litres of milk per year, equating to 5,500 Beaufort cheese moulds. Visitors will be guided through the discovery of how Beaufort is made and mass farming through fun and interactive workshops. 11 20 #EVENTS ZEN Ô SYBELLES WEEK FROM 27 JANUARY TO 2 FEBRUARY 2018 (NEW) From 27 January to 2 February 2018, Les Sybelles is proposing a week at the peak of well-being to relax and unwind, led by professionals including naturopaths, sophrology, yoga instructors and masseurs. There will be an area for siestas with sun loungers, a smoothie bar, seated massages, sauna, sophrology discovery, yoga, Qi Qong, pilates, reflexology and meditation, workshops, activities and conferences on the theme of well-being. LA FÉRIA DES CIMES FROM 31 MARCH TO 2 APRIL 2018 The colours of the Pays Basque and the Bayonne party spirit invite themselves to Les Sybelles for three days of events and festivities at the Sommet de l Ouillon at an altitude of 2,431 metres. On the schedule is the festive ambiance of the South West with petanque on the snow, snowrugby, a mechanical bull, equalizer, musical events and village cuisine. The public will have the chance to measure up to ambassadors and champions of rugby to share in friendly challenges, accessible to the young and the not so young. During the Féria des Cimes event, the Les Sybelles ski pass is just 20 for the day and 60 for the three days. 50 YEARS OF LE CORBIER In 2017, Le Corbier resort will celebrate its 50 years with a winter rich in festivities including a pyrotechnical ski show to music retracing the history of Le Corbier, the screening of a film about the 50 years of Le Corbier, an artistic competition named Le Corbier in 50 years, a DJ evening and many other events. The official celebration will take place on 27 December 2017 during the end of year festivities. Holidaymakers who also celebrate their 50th birthday in 2017 can take part in a competition to try and win a Les Sybelles lifelong ski pass. i More info THE LES SYBELLES SKI AREA LIFTS THE MAIN SAIL FROM 19 TO 23 FEBRUARY 2018 This is the only Optimist class boat race on snow for amateurs of sailing and skiing alike. Thrills and spills guaranteed for a unique experience where you will need some ores to navigate and hope to cross the line first. On the schedule is a tasting of Brittany produce on the slopes at Le Corbier resort as well as at the peak of the Ouillon, a rally, and a concert (biniou). and bookings LES P TITS CHEFS À LA NEIGE WITH FRENCH CHEF GUY SAVOY FROM 14 TO 21 APRIL AT SAINT-SORLIN-D ARVES This pastry-making and skiing competition for young chefs aged between 10 and 15 years old is sponsored by the three Michelin star chef Guy Savoy, one of the finest ambassadors or fine cuisine in France and across the world. The Les P tits Chefs à la Neige event will delight little cherubs who love cooking during a week of cooking-related activities and a host of other events including cooking workshops, gourmet activities, demonstrations and conferences. The small chefs will have the chance to win a host of prizes with the first price being a total immersion into the Parisian kitchens of the three Michelin star chef Guy Savoy with pastry making classes. 70 YEARS OF SAINT-SORLIN-D ARVES FROM 6 TO 13 JANUARY 2018 A week event to celebrate the birth of the ski resort with the opening of the first teleski, La Lauze. COME TO LES SYBELLES BY CAR The Les Sybelles ski resorts are located just 17 to 25 km from two motorway junctions on the A43. Junction no. 26: La Chambre, follow signs for Col du Glandon to go to Saint-Colomban-des-Villards. Junction no. 27: St-Jean-de-Maurienne, follow signs for Vallée de l Arvan to go to Saint-Sorlin-d Arves, Saint-Jean-d Arves, Le Corbier, La Toussuire and Les Bottières.
