Premiere of the Polebridge Run for the Border, a.k.a. BEST CANCELLED LE GRIZZ EVER and the Winners are Andy Prevost Martin Hack Scott Gaiser Rachel Bucklin Debbie Gibson Barbara Brown The Forest Service, due to disruption of government funding and compelled by politically driven policy, cancelled the permit for our usual course along Hungry Horse Reservoir 12 days before our event. Le Grizz doesn t cancel that s our policy. We ran a new course up the North Fork of the Flathead River from the Polebridge to the Canadian border and back. Runners reported sighting grizzly bears. Although the skies never cleared, we were teased with views of the snowy mountains of Glacier National Park. Our hosts at the Merc awarded each finisher a grizzly bear claw from their pastry shop.
