The tower is built as part of the now ruined street of single-storey cottages of the former fishtown, with its walls becoming the gable ends of the adjoining properties. Ruined cottages either side of tower Fair A line of stone-built one storey cottages with a cental rendered tower, aligned approximately north-west to south-east, at right angles to the shore. Ruined mill complex Fair Coarse stone-built mill buildings consisting of two east-west aligned buildings and two abutting north-south aligned buildings. A brickbuilt chimney was recorded at the western edge of the southernmost building. The structures' roofs have collapsed and they have rotten floors. There is evidence for sluice features. A further building, to the south-west, may be associated with the complex. 61
