1 Round Trip through Sardinia March/April/May 2018 Arrival Day We pick you up at Cagliari Airport and take you to the Hotel. In the evening you can join us to the welcome dinner where you meet as well the other participants of our little group. Photos of Cagliari 1 Day In the morning City-tour with the most beautiful spot of Cagliari, a stop at the flamingo lakes, a stop at the city s beach and a visit of the local market. In the afternoon a relaxed stroll through the ancient part of the town, with a visit of the Museum, the tower of San Pancrazio, Kings palace, cathedral and the bastion of San Remy. 2 2 Day Photos of the south west coast 2 Day We drive you down to the beautiful south-coast to eventually reach the peninsula Sant Antioco. Along the road we stop in different panorama points with an amazing view over the turquoise shining bay s. Along the coast we give you precious informations about history, nature and wildlife. In Sant Antioco we visit the last master of marine byssus in the world. This is a goose bump experience. Then we go to visit the catacombs under the Basilica of the protector of Sardinia. The church was built in the 5th century a.c. and is one of the oldest in the island. Back to the mainland we show you an enchanting view of the west-coast. On the way through the fascinating mining area of the mountain we stop to see the queen. Before we reach Cagliari you will see varied landscapes with castle, salt lakes and a breathtaking view over the golf of Cagliari. Impressions of the south west

3 3 Day As you check out from the hotel we pick you up heading north east. Our first stop is in San Sperate, where we visit the sound stone garden of Pinuccio Sciola. Here you can hear for the first time in your life the sound of the universe. After that a walk through the streets of the town which is decorated with more than 500 wall paintings. On the way we have two choices; we stop at the roman thermal bath where you can relax in the basins of the river, or we can visit the amazing sanctuary Pozzo di Santa Christina build around 1100 b.c. Later on we drive through the charming mountains of Oliena to the Hotel rifugio di Su Gorropu. It s a charming place in the middle of the mountains with an incredible view over the canyon and the mountains. The local food is of the highest quality and all handmade. This is your chance to experience the real Sardinia. The oldest family of the world is living in this mountains and there is the highest concentration of over hundred years old people in Europe. 4 4 Day The Valley of Lanaittu Photos of the Mueseum 4 Day We are going to Visit the museum of Dorgali. It s rich of archeological treasures of different periods, stone age, nuragical (bronze age), Phoenician and Roman periods. You need this knowledge before we go to visit the Nuraghe of Sos Carros where we are headed. Monte Leone We enter then the fascinating valley of Lanaittu. Exploring this area you have the feeling that time stood still from a thousands of years. It s a magical place where we visit the water temple of the nuragical Population, the cave of Sa Oche e Su Bentu, the cave of Corbeddu where they found human remains of years ago and which was the shelter of the most famous bandits. 5 5 Day We drive to Mamoiada. The town is famous for the original Sardinian Carnival and the incredible tasty wine. First we visit the museum of the masks. Then we will have wine tasting with local delicacies by the most famous wine producer in this area. Musem of the mask and wine tasting In the afternoon we go to the charming medieval town Galtellì where we drive up to the top of the mountain to visit the big bronze statue of Jesus on a cross 12 meters high. The panorama from there is breathtaking. A view over the Gulf of Orosei, the mountains over Lula and the Supramonti. Galtellì View over Lula

6 6 Day Photo over Palau 6 Day A tour to the Island La Maddalena along the gorgeous coastline of the Costa Smeralda. We take the ferry (20 min) to the Island from where we drive to the House of Giuseppe Garibaldi. The Visit take more or less one hour. You will love this place. The house is a big museum with a lot of interesting stories to tell as well as amazing views of Corse s south coast. The House of Garibaldi In the afternoon after a nice walk through the town s streets we move back to Palau, where you have some time for shopping. Or we can drive you up to the rock of the bear, a huge granite rock, the symbol of the town.

7 7 Day After our breakfast, we charge our luggage in the car and we are then ready to drive down the Giant Tomb S Ena e Thomes ( B.c:). Then we drive back to Cagliari. Photos of San Sperate Then we drive back to Cagliari. On our way we stop at the nuragical fortress Nuraghe Losa. This building is unbelievable and it will be your Indiana Jones experience on the tour. Finally, we reach the city in the late afternoon. You check in your hotel where you can freshen up and relax a little bit before I pick you up to the best fish restaurant in town. Departure Day: Check out from the Hotel, and pick up to the Airport. 8 General Information The Round Trips are organize with minibus with a maximum of 8 guests plus driver on board and a maximum of 2 vehicles per week tour in use. We visit places you can not reach with the coaches. With us you see in 7 days more than you can see with a coach in 10 days. We save a lot of time because we are a small group and with our vehicles no bus parking must approach to get to the sights. As we carry small groups, the minimum number of participants is 8 persons / car. Our trips are for all guests who value quality and like it in a familiari atmosphere. Tripadvisor has awarded us the certificate of excellence. We select the accommodations very carefully. Important for us is a good management, excellent food and cleanliness and good and comfortable beds. We prefer to change the accommodations as less as possible, but to settle down in strategically important areas from where we can visit as much as possible with little expenditure of time. The whole check-in and check-out procedure takes so much time that you would lose half a day in a week, which can be better used for sightseeing. Our guests especially appreciate the fact that they do not have to constantly pack and unpack the suitcases. Half-board is included in our weekly offer. From experience we know that in Sardinia we eat too much and our guests at noon most of the time like something small or no food. During the day there is always the possibility of a snack to eat. You can also get packed lunch directly in the accomodations where we stay. The flight is not included in our offer. Since we have guests from all German-speaking countries, we are unfortunately unable to create a single price, you can book the flight directly in your travel agency.. In spring as well as in autum there are a lot of lowcost offers to reach Sardinia. Easyjet, Ryanair, Eurowings etc. What is included Transfer to and from the airport 7 nights with breakfast and dinner (the dinner on the day of arrival and the evening before the departure will be not consumed in the hotel. The transport is included) All tickets for the sights described in the program as well as the ferry to the island La Maddalena 1 wine tasting with local delicacies What else do we offer At least once a day we offer a ride to the supermarket. Should there be any time left in our day program, we always like to add something extra so that you can experience as much as possible. We realize, if possible all wishes of our guests. This means that if special requests are made and the group agrees we can fulfill almost all wishes. In the small group we are very flexible and it is a pleasure to make you happy.

9 Change from the travel program It is rare that we have to make a program change. Reasons can be; Weather conditions, unannounced strikes or early unannounced closure of visiting sites. In this case, we offer an at least equivalent but mostly higher-quality alternative program. Souvenirs Sardinia has a large selection of first-class souvenirs. For the ladies there are fantastically beautiful filigree gold jewelery, cork shoes, cork sandals, cork bags, ceramics, baskets, fabrics, cookbooks and carpets. Very popular among the men are folding knives (very popular by collectors), masks, bronze statues, peccorino, salsiccia, prosciutto, olive oil, wine and grappa. This can be shop almost anywhere and most of the stores can send the goods to your home, so you have no excess weight in the suitcase. How to dress Sardinia has a very mild climate, but in the spring and autum some day could be nippy. Also at night you should have a jacket for precaution. We recommend comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. Walking shoes are over the top, but light trekking or sports shoes are just the thing. There is a laundry service in the accommodation (not included the price). You can therefore reduce your luggage to a minimum, if you prefer. Take bathing suits with you. Clime Sardinia has a very mild climate, but in the spring and late year it can be a two days cooling. Also at night you should have a jacket for precaution. In the low season you can find a lot of special price over Easyjet, Ryanair etc. The price for the week tours is calculated on the use of double room so couples. For singles who want single rooms, a surcharge is 30 /day.

10 Cancellation fees If you have booked the trip and need to cancel, you will be charged for any costs that you may be reimbursed by your cancellation insurance. Please remember to notify this in writing to your travel agency.
