3 Federal Reserve Bank & California African American Museum Wednesday, February 1, 2017 Price: $40.00 Depart: 9:00am Return: 4:00pm This wonderful day in Los Angeles starts with a visit to the Fed Gallery: Your Central Bank in Focus, a permanent installation at the Los Angeles Branch that uses interactive technology and vivid graphics to highlight the Federal Reserve s role in the United States economy. Various displays focus on cash and check operations, bank supervision, and monetary policy. The gallery includes a pachinko-style game in which the participant rates the safety and soundness of a particular financial institution, a money wheel that asks visitors to identify counterfeit notes, and a currency display featuring historic and rare notes. We will stop at Mercado La Paloma for lunch on your own. Mercado La Paloma is located in the Figueroa Corridor of South Los Angeles a neighborhood that is full of creative and hardworking entrepreneurs, community spirit, artists, musicians and cultural traditions.
