1 Southern Caribbean No-Fly Cruise March 17 th to 29 th, nights, 13 days Summary Itinerary Sunday, March 17 th Day 1 Portsmouth, NH Meet your Driver and Tour Director for your Southern Caribbean No-Fly Cruise Tour. We begin early this morning in Charlottetown and stop to pick up passengers in Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln and Woodstock, along the way. Transfers are available from Halifax, Dartmouth, Truro and Saint John. We will stop for lunch at Acorn Restaurant (not included) in Lake George, NB. Your Tour Director will help pass the time with games and entertainment on the coach. This evening we will check in to our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central. Tonight, explore the nearby shops and restaurants or relax in the hotel. The hotel shuttle can provide transportation to nearby locations. 2 Monday, March 18 th Day 2 NYC & Board the Norwegian Gem Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we will depart for New York City with rest breaks along the way. Arrive at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal early this afternoon and board the Norwegian Gem for your 10-day Southern Caribbean Cruise. Once on board you are free to explore and get acquainted with the ship. This evening we will set sail from Manhattan at 4:00 pm. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for dinner this evening or feel free to check out the more than 10 dining options on board. Be sure to head to the Stardust Theatre this evening for the Welcome Aboard show which provides an overview of the great entertainment you will find on board over the next several days. (B, OBM) Tuesday, March 19 th Day 3 Day At Sea Today is a full day at sea. Enjoy the onboard activities provided or curl up on a lounge chair with a good book. Or, try your luck in the casino. Your Tour Director will be available in the lobby from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for any questions or concerns. Wednesday, March 20 th Day 4 Day At Sea Today is a full day at sea. 3 Thursday, March 21 st Day 5 San Juan, Puerto Rico (4 pm to 10 pm) Founded in 1521, San Juan's picturesque cobblestone streets, plazas and chapels reflect its Spanish heritage. But the second oldest city in the Americas also boasts fine beaches, lush rainforests, verdant mountainsides, imposing forts and a lovely tropical climate. Don't miss Castillo de San Cristóbal, Old San Juan, La Fortaleza and the Catedral de San Juan. Friday, March 22 nd Day 6 Basseterre, St. Kitts (11 am to 6 pm) Basseterre is one of the oldest towns in the Eastern Caribbean with the tallest mountain in the Lesser Antilles, La Grande Soufriere. Black rocks and black sand are a hallmark of its volcanic past. Although founded by the French in 1627, St. Kitts is a very British paradise where cricket and tea are the norm. The dramatic mixed island landscape is rimmed in gold-sand beaches and dotted with well-preserved plantations left over from when the island was covered with sugar cane. Saturday, March 23 rd Day 7 Castries, St. Lucia (8 am to 5 pm) Castries is the main city of St. Lucia and is known for its abundant shopping options and Duty-free shops. A mecca for outdoor enthusiasts with thriving coral reefs and rain forest preserves. Explore the world's only drive-in volcanic crater at Sulfur Springs. 4 Sunday, March 24 th Day 8 St. John s, Antigua (8 am to 5 pm) Bask in the grand sight of the city's skyline, dominated by the white baroque towers of St. John's Cathedral. Sample local cuisines, visit the Botanical Garden, witness the magnificent Antigua Lighthouse, the historical Fort James and much more as you discover this grand city. An English harbour, St. John's preserves its history as a naval port as home to Nelson's Dockyard National Park, a restored shipyard with ruins of historic forts. Monday, March 25 th Day 9 St. Thomas, USVI (7 am to 1 pm) The town of Charlotte Amalie has one of the most breathtaking harbours in the world. Once home to pirates of long ago, today visitors find treasures of a different kind, for now beautiful beaches and bountiful duty-free shopping are truly its claim to fame. St. Thomas is also known as the "Rock City," a name given by the locals for its hilly terrain. Tuesday, March 26 th Day 10 Day At Sea Today is a full day at sea. Have you visited the library yet? There are lots of books available to borrow and board games. Your Tour Director is available in the lobby from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for any questions or concerns. Wednesday, March 27 th Day 11 Day At Sea Today is a full day at sea. Enjoy the band on top deck or play some shuffleboard. 5 Thursday, March 28 th Day 12 New York City to Portsmouth, NH This morning we will arrive in Manhattan at approximately 10:00 am. After disembarking the Norwegian Gem we will gather our luggage and board our motor coach to travel to Portsmouth, NH. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Arrive at our host hotel, the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central. Once we check in you are free to explore nearby shops and restaurants or relax in the hotel. The hotel shuttle can provide transportation to nearby locations. Overnight: Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central (B) Friday, March 29 th Day 13 Home Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. Check out of the hotel and begin our journey home. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. A stop will also be made at Duty Free before we cross the Canada/US border at Houlton, ME. Arrive home in the Maritimes later this evening.
