3 Day 1: Rome, Italy (Civitavecchia) Rome seems to have its own gravitational pull, attracting not only millions of tourists each year, but also the most creative artists and thinkers of every era. All that surrounds a visitor in Rome, the stunning art and architecture, the grandeur of scale and the lively citizens guarantees an unforgettable trip. If it's Rome's views you're after, climb up into the dome of St. Peter's or admire the panorama from the top of the Spanish Steps at sunset. Wear comfortable shoes as walking in Rome is the best way to experience the city. Day 2: Pisa, Italy (La Spezia) La Spezia, which lies between Genoa and Pisa, and is just minutes to the east of Cinque Terre the five fishing ports that enjoy National Park status is home to the Palio del Golfo, an annual boat race that sees the Gulf of Poets 13 historic villages face off against one another in celebration of the annual Festa del Mare. The town also offers fantastic shopping opportunities, as well as plenty of trattorias to enjoy local, Ligurian cuisine. Day 3: Nice, France (Villefranche) This jewel of the French Riviera is home to some of the world s most luxurious hotels and terraced cafés. Stroll the ultra-famous Promenade des Anglais or see masterpieces by Matisse, Renoir, Monet and Chagall in one of Nice s many museums. Day 4 & 5: Barcelona, Spain Since it hosted the Summer Olympics in 1992, Barcelona has been on the hot list of European destinations. The staging of the Universal Forum of Cultures in 2004 also raised the city's profile. Such popularity has only added to the sense that Barcelona is a place to visit as much for its energetic, cosmopolitan character as for its unusual attractions. The cruise-ship terminal is located in Port Vell, the Old Port district at the foot of La Rambla, minutes away from the city's most important tourist attractions. Day 6: At Sea This day is yours to do as much or as little as you like. Take a Celebrity ilearn class and bring your vacation photos to life. 4 Day 7: Gibraltar, UK The great Rock of Gibraltar is a sight to behold. Made of limestone, it towers 1,400 feet above the mouth of the majestic Mediterranean Sea and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and a nature reserve. Day 8: Malaga, Spain Málaga is the gateway to the Andalusian countryside and the Costa del Sol, some of the region s most impressive beaches. It also is home to a number of magnificent palaces, including the Moorish Alcabaza and Gibralfaro. Day 9: Cartagena, Spain The port of Cartagena, in the Mediterranean's Costa Cálida, has been prized since Carthaginian times. Thanks to its strategic position on the Murcia coast, it has been inhabited by several cultures which have left their mark on its artistic heritage. A tour of the place and its museums will draw us into the history of a city closely tied to the sea. Day 10: Ibiza, Spain Ibiza, an island in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of Spain, is, to many, synonymous with world-famous mega-clubs, which are the summertime meccas for so many celebrities and DJs. However, Ibiza is also one of the Mediterranean s most beautiful islands Ibiza Town is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site with mystical islets and hidden coves that beg to be explored. Day 11: At Sea Day 12: Return to Civitavecchia, Italy & Disembark
