Itinerary Day 1-Chongqing arrival Begin your journey with your international flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival at the Chengdu International Airport, you will be greeted by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel.the remaining time of the day is free for your individual activities. Meals Inflight Day 2-Chengdu-Yichang Today you will be transferred from Chengdu to Yichang. Upon arrival, you will board the Yangtze River Cruise ship and begin your memorable 4-night cruise down the Yangtze River. Meals: Breakfast /Dinner Day 3-Yangtze River Cruise, Three Gorges Dam Today s activities include; a morning Tai Chi lesson and an optional shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site. The Three Gorges Dam Site is one of the largest construction projects undertaken by mankind and is the biggest hydropower project in the world. You may also want to visit the Tribe of the Three Gorges, the only large scenic spot that has not be influenced by the Three Gorged Dam project, which showcases the abundant Ba Culture and Shu Culture. This evening you will return to the ship and attend the Captain s Welcome Banquet and enjoy the evening entertainment with a Chinese dancing ball. You will leave your cruise ship and board smaller vessels to sail through the narrower and breathtaking Lesser Three Gorges region, lined by sheer cliffs and mountains. Along the Yangtze River, you will appreciate the beauty of the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge and visit the ancient plank road, Mengliang Stairway and the

3 Hanging Coffins. You may also want to visit the White Emperor City, an ancient temple that is located atop Baidi Mountain on the northern bank of the Yangtze River in Fengjie County. Return to the ship and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. You will then set out with your trip leader to discover Beijing s imperial treasures. Stand in Tiananmen Square, one of the largest and grandest public plazas in the world. Enter the imposing walls of the Forbidden City, once the exclusive domain of the Ming Dynasty, for an extensive tour through this vast complex. Afterwards, visit the Silk Factory Outlet to learn about silk, the very trade item which started the famous Silk Road, and its delicate manufacturing process. Meals: Breakfast/Dinner Day 8-Beijing The Great Wall of China and the 2008 Olympic Games Sites Today, you will travel into the rugged mountain landscapes north of the city to the magnificent Great Wall of China. Once on top of this ancient defensive structure, you ll find that some sections are quite steep, but the views are magnificent and the experience is truly unforgettable. You will then learn about Jade, China s most precious and celebrated stone, and its manufacturing process at the largest Jade factory in Beijing. Furthermore, you will visit the 2008 Olympic Games Sites including the Bird s Nest and Water Cube. Afterwards, you will head back to the city to enjoy an oriental foot massage before returning to the hotel. Meals: Breakfast/Lunch Day 9-Beijing, Temple of Heaven In the morning you will practice Tai Chi in the Temple of Heaven. Tai Chi is an internal martial art system which places emphasis on the development and control of Chi (consciousness) energy within the body. Afterwards, you will experience a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony while sampling China s locally-favoured brews at a Tea House. Must- See Attractions: You can visit the Beijing Zoo famous for its collection of rare and unique animals in China, including its resident Giant Pandas. You may choose to visit the Lama Temple which is the largest and best-preserved lamasery in Beijing. It was built in 1694 and was originally the home of Qing Emperor Yongzheng before he became emperor. In addition, you can visit the Capital Museum which houses a large collection of ancient porcelain, bronze, calligraphy, painting, jade, sculpture, and Buddhist statues from imperial China as well as other Asian cultures. Day 11 Travel from Beijing to Shanghai Today you will board a high-speed train to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met by your tour guide and set out to discover all of modern Shanghai. Today you will discover the largest financial and commercial centre, visit the Shanghai-Nanjing walking district and explore the Shanghai Museum to learn more about the local culture and history. Visit the Bund by the Huangpu River and experience the city where the old meets the new. Enjoy an optional Huangpu River Cruise. You will cruise along the Huangpu River, past many of Shanghai s famous sites such as the People s Hero Monuments, the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, the bustling International Passenger Station of Shanghai Harbour, the docks, the Wu Song ancient gun fort relics and the impressive skyline of the Pu Dong business district. The town, known as "the Venice of Shanghai", is a well-preserved ancient water town in modern Shanghai. With a history of over 1700 years, it is typical of a country environment in south-east China. There are hundreds of gardens here that were established in the Ming and Qing dynasties. 15 rivers divide the town into 7 islands, with 49 historic bridges connecting the islands together. Fill in your online reservation form My Discoveries have already confirmed your purchase and sent your information to SNA Tours. You should receive an within 48 hours from SNA with a link to complete your reservation form. This form will ask you to provide your preferred travel dates, departure city, visa and insurance preferences, passenger information and passport details. Fill in this form as soon as you can, even if you only have enough information to partially complete the form this will fast track your booking process. 2. Confirm your travel dates When you completed your reservation form, you nominated two preferred arrival dates. SNA tours will confirm your travel dates within two weeks and your confirmed arrival date will appear on your invoice. Once your travel date is confirmed you will be placed in a tour group and your tour to China is confirmed.sometimes, SNA tours will not have enough people travelling on your preferred date to confirm your tour this is more common with dates further into the future than more proximate dates, so please be patient if we cannot confirm your dates immediately. SNA will contact you if this happens and put you on a waitlist for your preferred date or suggest an alternative date. 3. Purchase any optional excursions, add-on tours or upgrades Often SNA will offer extra activities/excursions, add-on tours and upgrades. If you are interested in upgrading or adding any of these activities. Please contact SNA tours. 4. Flight tickets will be issued You will receive your flight e-ticket in your inbox up to three weeks prior to departure. Please, double check your name is spelt correctly and all of the flight details are correct. Please contact SNA Tours if you believe there are errors. 5. Receive your visa If you have organised for SNA to arrange your visa, you should receive this up to a week before departure via express post. If you have concerns about the visa you have organised through SNA tours, please contact the SNA visa team. Alternatively, if you have opted to organise your own visa, don t forget to organise this with

8 your local visa centre ahead of time. Please contact SNA tours about six weeks prior to your departure for a visa checklist, we will provide all of the supporting documents you will need to apply for your visa on your own within business days. 6. We negotiate great deals with airlines ahead of time, purchasing tickets in bulk at different times throughout the year to provide you with the very best value for money. Unfortunately, this means there is no pre-set time when you will get your tickets other than in advance of your travel. Sometimes this can occur months in advance while in others, it s 30 days or less prior to travel. Rest assured we have everything under control and no one has ever missed their flights in SNA tours 6-year history. Your tickets will be issued electronically, but are no longer needed by the airlines. Upon check-in, you just need to show your passport and visa. Where will I have a stopover on my flight? We are not able to confirm if there will be a stopover or where that might be on your way to and from your chosen destination. When you purchased your group tour, we endeavour to find the best path to get you from your origin city (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide) to your destination. Most of the time, this means we need to go through a large hub airport to then connect with a domestic flight. We always seek to ensure the minimum amount of layover time that meets with the required transfer times set by the airlines and/or designated airports. If you wish to pay an additional cost to upgrade to a better, more direct flight path or to business class, you may contact SNA customer service and we can discuss the options available. When will I get my itinerary? This document is your tour itinerary. A detailed day-by-day summary of your hotels and other travel details will be sent to you at least one week prior to travel to ensure it is complete and accurate. Your confirmed hotel list is sent out seven days prior departure. This is because sometimes small details change at the last minute due to the complexity of travel to developing countries.

9 When will I get my visa(s)? Visas are processed in bulk, based on travel tour dates and group sizes. Each country has its own visa process which unfortunately can vary widely beyond our control. Developing countries are notorious for inconsistent processing, which is why we strongly suggest you leave it up to us to deal with it. We have dedicated customer service personnel to hand-hold your visa application through each step to ensure nothing goes wrong. Unfortunately, there is no pre-set schedule we can confirm other than you will receive them ahead of your travel. Please contact SNA if you have concerns about your visa. What are the refund and cancellation policies? My Discoveries and SNA Tours have partnered together to bring you the best value-formoney deal possible. This means that once the 30-day Booking Guarantee Period ends, there will be penalties for cancelling. Once the 30-day period ends a minimum of $100/person fee will be charged to cover administrative costs incurred. Once tickets are issued, no refund is possible.should there be a health or other serious issue, please contact My Discoveries and SNA with supporting documentation and we will assess the claim on compassion grounds. Can I decide my travel flight path? The short answer is no. SNA facilitate hundreds of travellers across dozens of dates and half a dozen origin cities. This means they need to have the flexibility to manage across multiple airlines and cannot provide each passenger or travel group with their own preferred flight path. The more direct flight path, the higher the cost. Admittedly, this is a trade-off when traveling at this amazing price. Can I upgrade my flights? Yes, you can upgrade your International flights to Business Class for $3,000 per person. Please contact the SNA Customer Service team to discuss the details and update your booking. Please note domestic flights can only be booked in Economy. Can I arrive a day early to rest and relax? Yes. SNA are now offering a 1-day early arrival rest and relaxation upgrade for $100/person. You will get to have 1 meal and a full day of rest in your arrival city hotel. Please contact the SNA Customer Service team to discuss the details and to add this to your booking.
