LUCIA BY LAND AND SEA A full day of St. Lucian culture, botany and scenic beauty During your full day of private exploration, our hand-picked guide will ensure your trip isn t repetitive, focusing on the distinct and intriguing aspects of each destination. You ll begin with the wonders of St. Lucia in Soufriere where you ll visit the charming Maranatha Botanical Gardens to view tropical and native plants and learn about their therapeutic properties. During a visit to Morne Coubaril Estate you ll get a behind-the-scenes look at a traditional cocoa plantation. Your journey continues to Tet Paul Nature Trail where a brief hike to the summit will reward you with a stunning view of the island s majestic twin peaks, the Piton Mountains and Mount Gimie, the Islands tallest mountain. Trek through the rainforest to relax in the cascading mineral falls and warm springs of the Sapphire Falls. HORSEBACK RIDING WITH KAYAKING Swimming with horses, plantation touring and kayaking in one thrilling trip We ll transport you to a local stable, where you ll saddle up for an exhilarating canter through their tranquil plantation. At the end of the ride you ll enjoy a swim with your horse. After the ride, join your personal kayak instructor at the Roseau River and set off to experience nature at its finest. Glide upon the waters of Marigot Bay under a canopied waterway back to Capella Marina. Along the way you ll acquire the knowledge to become a Certified Capella Rainforest Ranger. As you make your trip, discover the secrets of the rainforest, while searching for rare tree species, lizards, and some of the unique wildlife. 4 LAND ADVENTURES ZIPLINE INTO PLANTATION LUNCH AND RUM TASTING A day tour of adventure, Lucian culture and rum Take the road less travelled as you explore the countryside. Enjoy panoramic views of the vistas along the historic Morne Fortune and spend the morning in the rainforest where you will zip, trek and glide. Afterwards, you will experience a variety of local traditions at the historic Fond La Tisab Estate. We ll continue to lunch at a 140 year-old plantation nestled in lush tropical gardens with scenic views of the Caribbean coastline. DES CARTIER NATURE TRAIL GUIDED HIKE AND SWIM The Des Cartiers Rainforest Trail, near the village of Micoud, offers 2.5 miles (4km) of hiking trails. As you trek through the Island s largest forest, you ll discover indigenous wildlife, endemic bird species and maybe even glimpse the Island s national bird, the Amazona Versicolor. The 4 hour hike concludes with an invigorating mineral bath beneath the Latille waterfall. At the highest point of the Ridge Trail you will find a meditation platform, follow along the trail to the western edge for a spectacular view of the neighbouring Island of Martinique and the Caribbean Sea. This island to the Northern tip of St. Lucia is steeped in St. Lucia's British and French naval history and offers picturesque trails, complex ruins and some of the most amazing panoramic views of the island from atop either Fort Rodney or Signal Peak. PIRATES OF MARIGOT BAY An afternoon of family fun, pirate style Embark on a treasure hunt with your child which ultimately leads to a sunset at sea on a real pirate ship. Children start at the Marina to collect their message in a bottle, which sets them on a hunt for island treasure. A series of clues will guide them throughout the resort, gathering a pirate s booty of loot that includes a compass, eye patch, sword, pirate s hat and gold coins. At the end of the hunt, you ll have the option to set sail on a Pirate ship where your child will meet the Captain and watch canons being fired. Keep a sharp eye for Spinning and Spotted Dolphins and Pilot, Sperm and Orca Whales. During the cruise, the captain will stop for a brief moment to give you an opportunity to hear the rhythmic sounds of these intelligent mammals via the boat s hydrophone speaker system. SOUFRIERE ADVENTURE Enjoy hor d oeuvres as you sail along the west coast to Soufriere. You ll drift past the villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries, as you make your approach to the majestic Pitons. In Soufriere, take a shuffle to Diamond Botanical Gardens for a tour then lunch at a plantation house; visit the sulphur springs to enjoy the mud baths or a tour of the volcano. Sail back up the coast, enjoy a swim at a secluded bay and visit Marigot Bay before sailing back to Vigie Cove. Pick up at 8am in Marigot to be transported to Castries Harbour.
