Insert the inner/outer cylinder assembly into the grille, lining up the arrow tab with slot seven.. Turn the cylinder assembly to slot one to lock it in place. Assemble Inner and Outer Cylinder Line up Arrow Tab and Seven Slot One Slot Seven Tab 7UX009 Fastening the Dish to the Dish. Position the grille and dish as shown in the drawing.. Snap the hinge on the dish to the grille. Position pan and grille in the full open position while inserting hinge pin into hinge. Dish Locking Tabs 7UX0 Tab. Place fingers into the pan and press the lock together as shown.. Close the pan with both thumbs. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the sides of the pan are properly engaged. Side 7UX09 Instr. # /0

3 Big Dutchman Inc., 00 FLUXX Auger Pan Feeding System Fastening the Pan to Auger. Position the auger pan under the auger tube. Center the auger pan under the tabs on the auger tube.. Slide the tube adapter onto the pan assembly as shown.. Pan will swing freely, yet stay positioned on the tube by the tabs. Auger Center Tabs Inside Pan Slide Adapter 7UX0 Slide Adapter Removing the Pan from the Auger. Pry up the tab on the tube adapter.. Slide the tube adapter off the pan assembly. 4 FLUXX Auger Pan Feeding System Big Dutchman Inc., 00 Flood and Grow Adjustments Flood Position At start (or full flood) the feeder rests on the litter, allowing the pan to flood. Use this position when new chicks are started in the house. 0 Full Flooding Feed Position Grow Position At -7 days, the system is winched up a minimum /8 in. which stops flooding, and is further adjusted to maintain the proper feeding height of the pan lip to the height of the bird. This allows the feed to enter only under the outer cone at the preset openings. See the table and the drawing for dimensions of the pan openings. 7UX0 Note: Pans spin freely which promotes continued feed flow. This also deflects any forces from migrating birds. /8 in. (mm) Top of Pan See Pan Settings Table 7UX07 7UX0 Pan Adjustment The adjustment positions control the amount of feed in the pan in the grow position. This will vary with the type of feed used as well as the moisture and fat content of the feed. Lift the pan up to the tube and rotate the outer cylinder on the pan to adjust the flow of feed. Note: The feed setting screw adjustment is locked when the pan is in the grow out (down) position. It is impossible to adjust without lifting the pan. 5 Big Dutchman Inc., 00 Cleaning the Pans Power Washing the Pans Pan Spins To Aid Washing FLUXX Auger Pan Feeding System Spray the pans in the closed position as shown. The pan will spin freely as it is sprayed. IMPORTANT: Do NOT spray the pans with the dish open! 7UX00 Opening the Pan. Place fingers into the pan and thumbs under the outer rim of the grille.. Press inward on the dish to release the locking tabs. IMPORTANT: Do not pull on the rim of the grille. PUSH Dish 7UX0 Drying the Pans The pan will swing down allowing water to drain. After drying, lock the pans as shown on previous pages. You will have to practice and acquire a feel for the locking and unlocking procedure. Be sure to test the pan to ensure that it is firmly locked into place. 7UX08 Instr. # /0
