The British Standard BS for Workplace First Aid offers four kit sizes, and guidelines to match the kit to the workplace. 1. Identify your risk needs: LOW RISK (e.g. shops, offices, libraries etc.) HIGH RISK ( e.g. light engineering and assembly work, food processing, warehousing, extensive work with dangerous machinery or sharp instruments, construction, chemical manufacture etc.) Adopting the British Standard Kits is the best guarantee of remaining fully compliant with the law. 2.
