2 Unlike plastic packaging, Down2Earth s range of completely compostable food packaging is not a waste but a resource. All of Down2Earth s products are certified compostable, which means they can be recycled along with food waste, saving you money on landfill taxes. All of our products are made from renewable or recycled that are fully compostable. By compostable, we mean that they will turn back to soil in a short period of time (typically 9-12 weeks) given the appropriate environment. Down2Earth s success lies in its absolute commitment to developing a fully compostable product range compliant with EN13432 (European Standard), ASTM D6400 (American Standard), and its desire to make environmentally sustainable packaging practical and economic. On the other hand, COMPOSTABLE packaging is guaranteed to break down quickly enough (typically 9-12 weeks) to be organically recycled together with food waste.
