3 Before creating our signature Action Sports Pack System, we took feedback from all types of action sport enthusiasts to find out what they liked and didn t like about their favorite packs. That s how we came up with a unique waterproof pack system incorporating 2 pieces that could be used together as the ultimate Sports Pack, or separately as either a hydration pack or a deluxe waterproof waist pack. When buckled together, the waterproof waist pack (a marvel in it s own right) becomes the deluxe waist belt of the hydration pack, offering the new pack configuration a second waterproof compartment and a wealth of accessory holders. Submersible to a depth of 16 feet (5 meters), each product is made of fully welded nylon reinforced TPU (PVC Free!), and features the revolutionary new Quick- Zip for truly submersible waterproof performance. The Quick-Zip pops open with a sturdy tug, and slides shut with a simple pull. Getting your gear out of a waterproof bag has never been easier. Extra attention was given to every feature, providing maximum benefit when used together or independently. For example; if you are using the waist pack alone, the oversized water bottle holders will hold a 24oz. water bottle with ease. And when attached to the Hydration Pack, the solid bottom of the oversized bottle holders will safely hold the base of your oars, rod holder, or ski poles secured to the side of your pack system. Maybe you don t need a hydration pack at the bottom of the pool, but it s nice to know that you have the ultimate in real waterproof protection for your gear. This unique design provides a lower center of gravity to the pack, increasing the comfort and stability of the person wearing the pack. And when cycling with the Sports Hydration Pack, loosening the tension on the extra long shoulder straps of this aerodynamic pack allows the rider to further lower his/her center of gravity and increase the stability and control of the bike. And just like the Sports Hydration Pack, it is equipped with the patented Quick-Zip for quick and easy access that doesn t sacrifice waterproof protection. Next, you ll probably notice the oversized water bottle holders with an adjustable draw string closure and a solid bottom that offer extreme durability. 6 Angler s Chest Pack M90104 This Chest Pack features a flexible removable fly tray and a large accessory pocket, all accessible with easy access zipper pulls. Other features include the padded breathable back, 2 Velcro 4 x4 mesh pockets, daisy-chain accessory loops, and 4 D-rings. The only missing feature (and part of our plan) is the completely waterproof construction. We decided that lures and fishing hooks didn t cooperate very well with waterproof material. And fishing tackle is OK to get wet anyway. So you ll need to keep your PB&J in your Waist Pack or the Action Sports Hydration Pack. We ve designed this special Angler s Chest Pack so it can be used in conjunction with the Waterproof Action Sports Pack, the Waterproof Waist Pack, or both together. 10 THE OFFICIAL WSRS RATING SYSTEM FOR CLARIFYING WATER TIGHTNESS Waterproof Store Rating System Everyone seems to have their own definition of what constitutes waterproof. For that reason, this rating system was created to present you with a simple way to compare the level of water-tightness across products and manufacturers. After all, a rain-coat can be waterproof, right? But will it keep you dry if you jump in a lake? Originally developed by ROC Gear, Inc. for use at The Waterproof Store, but quickly becoming the accepted standard for all types of waterproof containers (cases, bags, backpacks, etc.) These ratings in no way constitute a guarantee from ROC Gear, but rather offers the consumer a way to quickly and easily understand the level of water-tightness among various products from various manufacturers, and present them all together on one common sliding scale... class 1 being the least waterproof, and class 5 being the greatest. The official Waterproof Store Rating System classes are defined as follows: C l a s s 1 Water resistant for light rain or light splash applications. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following situations: prolonged water exposure, heavy top-down watering, forceful water pressure applications, or submersion. Class 2 Waterproof in top-down watering applications. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: forceful water pressure, water injected from odd angles, or submersion. C l a s s 3 Waterproof so tight it floats or can handle quick submersions. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: prolonged submersion, submersions greater than 3 feet in depth, high water pressure applications. Class 4 Waterproof and submersible to at least 3 feet, but no more than 12 feet (maximum depth varies by manufacturer). This is the first class we refer to as truly submersible. Suitable for underwater sports such as swimming and snorkeling, where great depths are not common. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: submersion greater than manufacturers recommended depth rating, constant submersion longer than 24 hours, extremely high water pressure applications where seals could be damaged. Class 5 Waterproof and submersible to depths greater than 12 feet (often as much as 100 feet but varies by product and manufacturer). Suitable for any underwater sport of less depth than the manufacturer s maximum depth rating. Common applications include scuba diving, snorkeling, search & rescue, and white water rafting. The product could be permeated by water in any of the following applications: depths greater than the manufacturer s maximum depth rating or any physical force that could jeopardize the water-tight seal.
