3 Issue 3 Oct - Dec 2015 Thomson Impressions (Residential) Thomson Impressions is a 288 unit, 99-years leasehold condominium development comprising 2 blocks of 19 storeys, one unit of 2 storey strata bungalow, as well as 4 units of strata semidetached units. It is located off Lorong Puntong in the Upper Thomson area. Developed by Nanshan Group, it is situated within walking distance to the future Bright Hill MRT Station and located near top primary school Ai Tong and near restaurants and shopping centres such as Sin Ming Plaza and Thomson Plaza. Thomson Impressions is in a low density area due to the high percentage of landed properties and shophouses. Hence, residents can enjoy the peace and exclusivity of the area. It is surrounded by lush greenery and recreational amenities such as the upcoming Windsor Nature Park, Lower Pierce Reservoir and the Singapore Island Country Club. During the weekend launch of Thomson Impressions, buyer turnout was strong and 88 out of the 150 units launched were sold. 4 International Feature - Explore the Magnificence of Indo-China Indochina is at the continental crossroads of India and China and mainly consists of the countries, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Peninsula Malaysia. Development is rife in this region with Vietnam and Cambodia taking pole positions in terms of Economic Progression. The populations of these countries are growing with a large workforce to support further economic progress. Growth has been strong with Cambodia and Vietnam displaying 7.0% and 6.0% y-o-y respectively for In this edition, we will introduce 3 countries, namely Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and also highlight to you various attractive investment opportunities in each of these countries. Vietnam - Country Update From 1 July 2015, foreigners can now purchase Vietnamese properties after a new law was passed in the country s National Assembly. Foreigner purchases are capped at a maximum of 30 percent of apartments within a block and 250 houses in a given ward. As such, the demand pool for the Vietnamese property market has now broadened beyond the local context. Nonetheless local sentiments should still remain strong supported by rising local incomes. Vietnam boasts one of Asia's fastest rates of middle class expansion, with the economy growing 6.28 percent in the first half of this year. Property transactions in Vietnam have almost doubled from the previous year as of Aug 2015, reflecting strong demand from both locals and foreigners. Compared to countries in the region, Vietnam has one of the largest population size, standing at almost 90 million residents. However, as of 2014, its property market is valued at USD21 billion while neighbours Thailand and Singapore stand at USD89 billion and USD241 billion respectively. There is therefore much room for the Vietnamese property market to progress, indicating the possibility of substantial capital gains. On 8 Sep 2015, more than a thousand Huttons Associates & their family members came together for the Amazing Huttons SG50 Celebrations. The Amazing Huttons SG50 Celebrations is a family event where Associates and their loved ones come together for a fun filled morning of bonding and cohesion. Huttons Hope - Fund Raising Activity for Adopted Home Huttons HOPE held our recent fund raising collection on 15th August 2015, in conjunction with the Singapore Youth Olympic Games (SYOG) Committee.
