5 Ground Operations Manual Page Cargo Handling - DE Flights and Aircraft Cargo on DE Flights operated with Aircraft All compartment capacities which are not needed for passenger baggage are at Lufthansa Cargo Airlines (LCAG) disposal. Lufthansa Cargo AG personnel worldwide is provided with the Cargo Handling Manual (CHM) with work instructions permanently. This manual contains the internal rules as well as IATA- and general official (governmental) regulations. In case of questions concerning these regulations contact Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments Cargo on DE Flights operated with other Aircraft Procedure In case of cargo bookings on DE flights operated with other aircraft (e.g. FQ or MT aircraft) the rules and procedures (e.g. for Dangerous Goods etc.) of the operating carrier are applicable. Observe aircraft restrictions of the operating carrier. In case of FQ or MT aircraft refer to chapter 7 - Aircraft Handling, Special Loads and the respective cargo chapters.

6 Ground Operations Manual Page Duties and Responsibilities - DE Flights LCAG (Lufthansa Cargo AG) will perform all cargo sales, marketing activities and warehouse handling for DE flights according to the LCAG Cargo Handling Manual (CHM) in addition to the Ground Operations Manual (GOM). are responsible for appropriate correct loading/unloading of cargo into/off the aircraft. Only LCAG cargo is transported on DE flights. Any cargo related matters on behalf of will be coordinated by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. Prior start of season a list of cargo allotments will be released by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments for each flight. This list takes into consideration: The scheduled aircraft type. Traffic rights for the transport of cargo. The amount of sporting equipment normally carried as passenger baggage enroute. Cargo handling facilities at the departure, transit and destination stations. Available ground time as per schedule. Payload restrictions, e.g. on long-range flights. LCAG cargo embargoes. The allotment calculation is always based on a full passenger load and includes the tare weight of 12 LD8 container for B767 flights. The capacity information in the LCAG reservation system is based on this calculation. This list will be handed over to LCAG for EDP programming, after which the flights mentioned therein can be booked by any LCAG cargo agent.

7 Ground Operations Manual Page Acceptance of Cargo - DE Flights Standard cargo can only be accepted if authorized by LCAG or Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. Following cargo items may never be accepted under any circumstances: Loaded firearms and weapons Any other material which may cause harm to passengers or aircraft Damaged articles which could contaminate or damage the aircraft compartments, e.g. damaged barrels or packages containing liquids or powders etc. Following cargo items need special authorization by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments: Certain hazard classes of dangerous goods, please refer to chapter 16 - Cargo Handling, Cargo Handling - DE Flights and Aircraft. Live animals (AVI) unless authorized by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. Hatching eggs (HEG) unless authorized by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. Procedure Contact the responsible cargo agent of LCAG or the Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments department in case you have any doubt concerning the acceptance of a shipment. In case you receive any request for cargo booking, forward the request immediately to the respective LCAG cargo agent Irregularities - DE Flights In case of any irregularities (e.g. offload, missing documentation, damaged cargo) immediate information must be given by the person supervising the loading to the local cargo agent for further action.

9 Ground Operations Manual Page 9 Procedure Contact Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments in case you receive a request for service cargo to/from a non-cargo station Live Animals (AVI) - DE Flights The transport of live animals as cargo - except fish - must always be authorized by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments in order to coordinate the booking requests with all animals booked as baggage to secure that the maximum number of animals per aircraft and flight will be adhered to Heavy Items (HEA) - DE Flights Limitation If no information about GSE (ground service equipment) is published in the EDP system of LCAG, heavy items (HEA) must be authorized by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments to ensure availability of proper ground handling equipment for loading and unloading (e.g. forklift). A maximum of two HEA s per flight are allowed on board of bulk aircraft Valuable Cargo (VAL/VUN) - DE Flights Valuable cargo must always be authorized by LCAG / VIC-department (SITA: FRABWLH) Human Remains (HUM) - DE Flights As a matter of principal human remains must be shipped as revenue cargo. Transport of Human Remains as Revenue Cargo Acceptance, booking and handling of human remains as revenue cargo must be according to the LCAG Cargo Handling Manual (CHM). Transport of Human Remains as Service Cargo In case the deceased passenger was originally booked on a DE flight, an authorization for transport as service cargo will be given by the special reservations department only. To enable to arrange the transport of the human remains as service cargo following information / forms are needed prior booking via the special reservations department: Death certificate issued by the local police (via the appropriate Embassy) Name and address of local undertaker (shipper) and receiving undertaker (consignee) Flight / Date / Destination Lufthansa Cargo agent available to issue service airway bill

10 Ground Operations Manual Page 10 For deceased passengers originally booked by a tour operator this information must be given by the tour operator s representative. For deceased CFI passengers all required information must be delivered by the Condor / Condor Berlin supervision agent or handling agent. Human Remains to MUC and HAJ MUC The death certificate must be sent by fax to the police department in Munich ( ) as soon as possible. HAJ A preadvice before departure must be sent to LCAG at HAJ (SITA: HAJFHLH) Motorbikes - DE Flights Acceptance, booking and handling of motorbikes must be according the LCAG Cargo Handling Manual (CHM) and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Shipments must always be authorized by Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments.

12 Ground Operations Manual Page Handling of Cargo Documents - DE Flights The LCAG Cargo Department is responsible for the provision of all relevant forms and documents. Cargo documents must be placed in the Cargo Document Box. The Cargo Document Boxes have to be loaded into the following compartments: Condor Berlin A320 Compartment 4 Condor B /300 Compartment 4 Condor B767 Compartment 5 other aircraft to be advised Procedure Inbound: Offload the Cargo Document Box and place it close to the conveyor belt for pick up. Outbound: Load the Cargo Document Box into the designated compartment prior departure. Hand over copies of the cargo manifest to the authorities where required. Example Cargo Document Box

13 Ground Operations Manual Page Dangerous Goods Regulations - Aircraft Hazard Classes Allowed on Aircraft The transportation of dangerous goods on aircraft is restricted to certain hazard classes. For further information please refer to: chapter 8 - Dangerous Goods, Allowed Hazard Classes - Operator Variations chapter 8 - Dangerous Goods, Dangerous Goods in Excepted Quantities Acceptance and Check of Dangerous Goods - Aircraft The acceptance of dangerous goods carried on board of aircraft is only permitted if acceptance and check is done by qualified personnel of LCAG, LCAG authorized agents, CCT (Condor Cargo Technik) or LHT (Lufthansa Technik). The dangerous goods cargo must be handled in accordance with all LCAG and DE instructions Dangerous Goods Notification to Captain on Aircraft The Dangerous Goods Notification to Captain (NOTOC) must be issued by the responsible cargo department on the basis of the Shipper s Declaration, by Condor Cargo Technik (CCT) or by Lufthansa Technik (LHT), for all flights on which dangerous goods have been loaded. 14 Ground Operations Manual Page Service Cargo - DE Flights Definition Service cargo includes all official company material which shall be sent to stations on DE direct flights. Service cargo will only be accepted for transport after authorization from Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. Refer to chapter 4 - Contacts and Addresses, Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments. The request must include the following information: Shipper (name, department, contact) Flight number/date (alternate flight number/date) Departure/destination station Number of pieces/weight/contents Kind of packaging/dimensions Cost account (Kostenstelle) Additional Info Stations/departments with access to the Thomas Cook Intranet can retrieve further information under the link - (select: TC weltweit/ Verkehrsleitung/Comail- und Frachtkoordination).

15 Ground Operations Manual Page Messages and Addresses - DE Flights Estimate Zero Fuel Weight Message (EZFW) - DE Flights Procedure For every DE flight it is mandatory to send an Estimated Zero Fuel Weight Message to flight dispatch not later than 6 hours prior departure. Advise planned cargo uplift to the responsible load control agent according to your station agreement SLS Message - DE Flights For every DE flight a SLS message including the cargo and mail figures must be written. For further information refer to chapter 5 - Passenger Handling, Statistical Load Summary (SLS) Message for DE Flights Request for Empty Containers - Aircraft If additional containers are required for the next flight, send a telex to ULD control (SITA: HDQF5LH) with copy to Condor Ground Handling Standards, Quality and Assessments and the operations department of the German departing station, stating the amount of units needed.

Hand out copies to the local authorities if required.l Location of Cargo Manifests on Board - FQ Aircraft Procedure Place cargo manifests and all necessary documents in the first cabin bin on the righthand side, labelled: Cargo Documents Incoming Cargo Documents - FQ Flights Procedure Hand over all cargo documents to the responsible LCAG personal or to the LCAG authorized handling agent. Hand over copies of the cargo manifest to the authorities where required.
