2 Private helicopter pilot This license enables the holder to fly either as a pilot in command or co-pilot without remuneration, in any non-commercial operation within the European Union or any country where this license is recognized. Requirements Objective Shall be at least 17 years of age at the beginning of the flight phase. D.N.I / valid passport Medical exam (class 2) Any other requirement that AESA- Spanish Aviation Safety Authority considers necessary To obtain the private pilot license for Helicopters PPL(H) authorized by EASAEuropean Aviation Safety Agency, valid for flying the helicopter used for training according to the visual flight rules (VFR) under visual meteorological conditions (VMC), and act either as a pilot in command or co-pilot without remuneration in any non-commercial operation. To fly any other helicopter type, a specific type rating is necessary. This license is valid to fly in any European Union country as long as the holder has, at least, a level 4 in the English language certificate. Also, through our different courses and type ratings it is possible to obtain several qualifications such as the night flight, instrument flight, Flight instructor, etc. This license is the initial phase to achieve the Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport License through the different modular courses in WORLD AVIATION. Duration General Conditions The duration of the course is approximately 5 months depending on the student availability and weather conditions. However, it could be shortening if the student has any other license as a PPL (A), ultralight license, etc. This course can be started at any time. The student and World Aviation Helicopter Flight Academy together will develop a training schedule, which will include theoretical and flight phases. This schedule may be modified at any time according to the student or academy needs. The flight instructor will arrange the training sessions between 9:00 am and sunset, any day of the week, even holidays, according to schedule. 1 4 info@
3 The student pilot must assist to all theoretical classes and flight training, unless there's a justified reason, bad weather, or safety or availability problems with the school's helicopters. WORLD AVIATION has the right to decide whether to register the pilot student for AESA's exams or not if it considers that he/she is not well prepared to undertake it for the best. During the course, the student will be covered by an insurance according to the law, which releases WORLD AVIATION FLIGHT ACADEMY of any additional responsibility. Training Centers Málaga Costa del Sol Our Pilot Training Centre in Malaga is located at the Malaga Costa del Sol International Airport with additional training facilities in Marbella and VelezMalaga. The advantages for the student include learning to operate in several airfields under different conditions, from a busy International Airport to regional airfields and/or private landing-sites. The Costa del Sol offers a broad range of flying conditions, including mountain flights, giving the student pilot a complete flight experience. Madrid Cuatro Vientos Our Madrid Training Centre is located at the Cuatro Vientos Airfield in South-West Madrid. This dynamic airfield provides an ideal training environment with many features of larger airports. A mix of busy air-space and wide-open terrain perfect for navigation practices and cross-country flights. In addition to this, our modern teaching facilities and class-rooms offer a professional and enjoyable learning scenario. Theoretical training 115 hours of theoretical training which includes the following subjects: Air law Human performance Meteorology Communications Principles of flight Operational procedures Flight performance and planning Navigation Aircraft general knowledge *Holders of a LAPL, PPLA, SPL, CPLA o ATPLA license will complete 50 hours. The theoretical training will run in any of the WORLD AVIATION HELICOPTER FLIGHT ACADEMY bases, whose premises include classrooms, library, communications room and flight simulators. 2 4 info@
4 The school also gives their students the opportunity to use its library to consult its extent aeronautical bibliography as well as the laboratories and audio-visual communication programs to reinforce their knowledge. During the course, the student pilot will have access to the WORLD AVIATION intranet and its virtual programs. Flight training This course consists of 45 hours of Flight training in a Helicopter model Robinson R22. Of this hours, at least 10 will be in solo flight under supervision, and 5 of cross country flight, which include a journey of 185 km (100 MN) with a full stop landing at 2 aerodromes different from the departure site. The flight training will be conducted in any of the WORLD AVIATION HELICOPTER FLIGHT ACADEMY bases. Flight Robinson R22 helicopter 45 hours *Applicants holding a pilot licence for another aircraft category, with the exception of balloons, shall be credited with 10 % of their total flight time as PIC on such aircraft up to a maximum of 6 hours. Test Theoretical test The electronic theoretical tests for FCL licenses and type ratings are those established by the community rules commission to obtain the flight crew licenses according to EASA and AESA requirements. These tests could be conducted in any training centre: Madrid, Barcelona or Palma de Mallorca according to the previous schedule. Practical test Robinson R22 helicopter License The course includes hour PPL(H) VFR license Type rate Robinson R22 Theoretical and Flight training Airport fees WORLD AVIATION bag with: - Course Schedule - R22 helicopter manual - Course manual and material - Check list Test fees for each subject for exams in first attempt.
