2 Pilot Briefing Pack Fly-In 2018 Dear pilots and visitors This briefing should provide information for the EAS / RSA Fly-In in Yverdon-les-Bains Please treat this as additional information source, it does not substitute your flight briefing. 1 Preflight 1.1 Information about Yverdon-les-Bains airfield LSGY Check on Yverdon-les-Bains Webpage: Check LSGY webcam: Announce your arrival at EAS Please announce your arrival to EAS office@experimental.ch or via online form on the experimental.ch webpage under EVENTS No PPR required. 1.3 Customs for international flight International Arrivals from Schengen countries: No goods >= 300 CHF or except personal belongings and no visa required for crew. Flight from Schengen countries: Fill out customs sheet on homepage: Flight from non- Schengen countries Non Schengen departures or anybody on board requires visa for CH: Use Grenchen (LSZG) or Les Eplatures (LSGC) as airport of entry to Switzerland. 3 2 Preflight Checklist Arrival Information submitted to EAS. Flightplan filed (arriving from outside CH) Customs procedure followed. Accommodation booked / Camping gear packed. 2 Flight Preparation Familiarize yourself with Payerne and Geneva area if you intend to cross it, to avoid any airspace violations. Check if restricted area LS-R4A is active. Check DABS (Daily Airspace Bulletin Switzerland). Check NOTAM (Notice To Airmen). IMPORTANT : in case of very bad weather, Fly-In could be cancelled. 4 4 Approach Consult Yverdon-les-Bains airfield informations : First landing free of charge for Experimental aircrafts, offered by EAS! 5 After Landing. After landing on runway 05 or 23, vacate the runway via intersection B At intersection B, turn left in direction to the marshallers accordings to theirs signals. Shut down your engine in the Shut down engine area. Staff will help to park your aircraft in grass area. Under no circumstances is it allowed to have the engine running in the aircraft s parking!
