2 Weather Hot summers from September through to April, and mild winters from May through to August Summer runs from October to April, during which time temperatures reach in the vicinity of 30 C. After sunset temperatures drop to approximately 14 C. Dramatic thunderstorms and summer rains can be expected between November and March Winter is from May to September/October. Bird Watching Safari: Over 130 species have been seen in one day! Catering for the keen twitcher, our bird watching safari offers tailor-made trips depending on which species are needed to be found. Either by open safari vehicle, by foot or by boat we search for an array of species through a variety of habitats Fishing: The Zambezi Fishing is famous because of the great freshwater game fish - The Tigerfish. Zambezi Fishing: The mighty Zambezi River has become the number one destination for avid fresh water anglers to take on the ferocious tiger fish (Hydrocynus Vittatus). Powerful, swift predators Tigerfish Helicopter Flights over Victoria Falls: The spectacular helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls is known as the Flight of Angels. David Livingstone famously wrote on seeing the Victoria Falls for the first time in 1855 that Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight. Little did he know that 150 years later he could have exactly that opportunity. The best way to appreciate the true splendour of the Victoria Falls is to view them from the air. Our helicopters have specially designed bubble shaped windows perfect for panoramic viewing and great photographic opportunities from all seats. 12/13 Minute Flight of Angels: After take-off the helicopter turns out towards the magnificent Victoria Falls, our pilot will fly left and right hand circuits over the Victoria Falls in both directions giving you the best viewing, photographic and filming opportunities. A trip up the Zambezi River and back over the Zambezi National Park completes your flight. 25 Minute Zambezi Spectacular: After take-off you will fly out over the Victoria Falls where our pilot will fly left and right hand circuits over the Victoria Falls in both directions. Continuing the flight downstream over the Batoka Gorge, experience the natural beauty of this aweinspiring dramatic feature, following the mighty Zambezi River, as it carves its way through the steep cliffs. As we head back we fly over the upper Zambezi River & the National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife species. Chinotimba Township Tour: Experience the warmth of an African urban settlement. The word Chinotimba describes the roar of the water from the mighty Victoria Falls in the local Nambya language. The Nambya and the Tonga people are the original people of the Victoria Falls area Meet the People Village Tour: Gain an insight into Zimbabwean rural life. Clients are taken to an authentic rural village approximately 20km from Victoria Falls town where they are given the opportunity to watch local villagers going about their daily tasks The Art Village Tour: Join us on a multi-faceted and interactive Art Village Tour, involving history, culture, art, and a dinner under the stars. This tour is conducted in the morning and afternoon. En route, clients may be taken past the Big Tree where they may stop and take photos. Clients will be accompanied through the Rainforest by one of our qualified Guides who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls.
