HELI-SKIING EXPERIENCE IN THE SAN JUANS Enjoy an incredible heli skiing experience in the spectacular San Juan Mountains. You will depart the Hotel Jerome with a gourmet box breakfast, and take a quick 30 minute flight to nearby Telluride. Once in Telluride, you will board a Bell 407 Helicopter and enjoy six guided helicopter ski runs, totaling approximately 10,000 12,000 vertical feet. 4 ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH-GOURMET HIKE Two of the area s most beautiful lakes, American and Cathedral, are hidden at the end of a half day hike. Comprised of challenging terrain and beautiful scenery that ends at the high mountain lake that is an unbelievable shade of aqua. Enjoy house made treats lakeside or just a few miles up Castle Creek Road lies the Pine Creek Cookhouse. A gourmet lunch spot with spectacular views of the surrounding valley and food to match. Explore the historic Ghost Town of Ashcroft before heading back to town. $250/person BIKE TO WOODY CREEK Your guide will get you outfitted with a performance mountain bike and lead you from the hotel down the Rio Grande Trail towards Woody Creek. Travel 8 miles on a mostly unpaved bike trail past several waterfalls and across an open meadow to the eclectic Woody Creek Tavern. The tavern is famous for its hand squeezed lime margaritas & great Mexican fare, but more importantly it was Hunter S. Thompson s favorite hang out oustide of the J-Bar. Based on your margarita consumption you can choose to ride back or call a taxi. $200/person OVERNIGHT EXCURSION TO CRESTED BUTTE East maroon Trail provides a hike with outstanding views of Pyramid Peak, scenic wooded walks, fields of wildflowers, & several challenging river crossings.
