Prices / Costing / Payment The tour price is per person sharing based on 20 pax. It is also based on airfare / airport tax / tariffs for land arrangements and hotels at International Rates of Exchange available at the time of preparation of the tour programme and is therefore subject to change / alteration in the event of increases in exchange rates until full payment is received by 20 pax and this has been paid over by Travel Time Tours to the respective airlines and international tour agents. Payment of deposits is due four months before the departure date. The full amount of the tour must be settled by no later than three months prior to the departure date. Cancellation In the event of cancellation by a tour applicant / passenger: Notice of cancellation must be received in writing at Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd (Fax or traveltimetours@outlook.com). Any paid fees will only be refunded if written notification of cancellation is received three months or more prior to the departure date, excluding the non- refundable deposit of R3 000 paid to the airlines. No amount will be refunded prior to three months of the departure date. PLEASE NOTE that all tours are subject to a minimum of 20 full paying participants failing which the tour will not be undertaken and with no further obligation on the part of Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd. Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd reserve the right to cancel or abandon the tour in which case any monies paid will be refunded, less any expenses, disbursements or other commitments incurred on behalf of the passengers without any further obligations or liabilities on the part of Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd whatsoever. The right is further reserved to make changes to the tour should this be necessary for any reason whatsoever. Passengers deviating from the tour or leaving the tour for any reason whatsoever will be responsible for any costs and will not receive any refund for places not visited or travelling not undertaken / accommodation not utilized. Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd reserves the right to cancel any passenger from a tour with immediate effect if this is in the interest of the tour group. In this case the passenger will not be refunded any monies with no further penalties for both parties and prejudice to any rights. Itineraries / Travel Documents Itineraries and general information must be checked upon receipt and any errors or inaccuracies reported to Travel Time Tours (Pty) Ltd. The airline ticket issued constitutes a sole contract between the airline in question and the passenger and Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd is not responsible in any matter related thereto. It is the passenger s responsibility to reconfirm all departure dates and times of all flights at least 72 hours prior to departure. The onus is on the passenger to ensure that all his / her travel documentation is in order and Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd will not be held liable for any loss as a result of errors. A passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return from the tour and have at least two blank pages that are opposite each other and not overleaf. Travelling with children In the case of children unabridged birth certificates are required to travel internationally. If travelling with one parent, consent in the form of an affidavit from the other parent / in case of no parents consent in the form of an affidavit from both parents is required as well as the unabridged birth certificate. Travel Time Tours will not be held responsible in any way in the event of passengers not complying with legislation requirements pertaining to travel. Responsibility Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd will not be held responsible for any charges incurred abroad that appear on a passenger s credit card, nor accept responsibility of having these charges reversed or corrected upon return to South Africa. Travel Time Tours (PTY) Ltd will not be held liable for any injuries, death, loss, damage, accident, delay, inconvenience howsoever caused during the journey, tour, residence, transportation means or other facility arranged or booked by Travel Time Tours. Any loss or additional expense which may arise due to any delays, changes or cancellations of transportation means or any other service, strikes, war, theft, weather or other causes will be borne by the passenger. 4 Tour Itinerary 13 day tour Israel & Jordan DAY 1: GREAT EXCITEMENT! The tour members depart on an international flight from South Africa to the Holy Land. Dinner on board. Day 2: Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, Israel we immediately depart by luxury airconditioned bus for the Jordanian Border. After crossing the border we visit the ancient city of Jerash (one of the best preserved examples of a Roman provincial town in the Middle East), before moving on to Amman. DAY 3: After breakfast we get an opportunity to visit the Royal Automobile Museum in Amman. We then start making our way towards Petra taking time to visit Shobak Castle a Crusader Castle before arriving at Petra where we overnight. Dinner DAY 4: Today, it s Petra after breakfast! The amazing city, carved out of rose coloured rock, deeply hidden in the mountains will be explored with a qualified guide. Around every corner awaits breath taking views. In the late afternoon we depart for Wadi Rum for a desert experience in 4x4 vehicles, climbing dunes, admiring huge ochre coloured rock pinnacles and spending the night in tents for the ultimate Bedouin experience. Dinner DAY 5: After breakfast we head back for Amman on route calling in at Madaba where we will visit the world famous Madaba Map the oldest map of Palestine in the world (500 BC). Originally this map was 15 to 25 meters long and 6 meters wide and was made from over 2 million mosaic pieces. We also journey to Mount Nebo, where Moses had sight of the Promised Land before he died. Then it is time to make our way to the Israel border crossing and on to Jerusalem. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner and breakfast included. DAY 6: After breakfast we visit the Pools of Siloam (mentioned in John 9), Mary s Spring, Birthplace of John the Baptist, scale model of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus and the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum. Following that we will visit the stirring Holocaust Museum. The history of the massacre of approximately six million Jews during the Second World War is displayed here. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner and breakfast included. DAY 7: After breakfast we begin our tour at the Mount of Olives where the breath taking view of the Old City with the city walls and gold dome await us. We visit the place, Pater Noster, where Jesus taught His disciples the Lord s Prayer and then on to the Dominus Flevit (Teardrop church) where Jesus lamented over Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37). Thereafter we visit the Garden of Gethsemane with its 2000 year old olive trees. From there we will travel to Mount Zion where we will visit the church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, which is where Peter denied Jesus, and we will see the ancient ruins of Caiaphas house where the Lord Jesus Christ was taken on the night of His arrest. We will also visit the Upper Room where Jesus and His disciples partook of the Last Supper as well as King David s Tomb. We then depart for Bethlehem and visit the birthplace of Jesus Christ and the Shepherds Fields. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner DAY 8: After breakfast we travel to Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the World and where Joshua and his people entered the Holy Land. Here we visit, among other places, the Fountain of Elisha (2 Kings 2:19-22) and see the Mount of Temptation (Matthew 4). On route to Masada we see the caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were accidentally discovered by a local shepherd boy in At Masada we will take the cable car up the mountain to the ancient fortress of Herod the Great. Our tour guide will share with us the history of this impressive fortress. We will then descend the mountain and travel to the lowest place on earth the Dead Sea. Here we will have the unique opportunity to float on the salty mineral waters of the Dead Sea. On this day we also visit the Original Baptismal Site on the River Jordan. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner DAY 9: This day sees us visiting the Western Wall Tunnels, followed by a day at leisure to further explore the Old City and Jerusalem. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner and the breakfast included. DAY 10: After breakfast a Spiritual highlight awaits us: Today we visit the Wailing Wall (the holiest place on earth for the Jews) and the Temple Mount after which we then move on to the Pools of Bethesda. From there we follow the Via Dolorosa or Way of the Cross. We will visit the Cardo and examine part of the Original City Wall that Nehemiah built. Following this we will explore the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. Then we will visit Golgotha place of the Skull where Jesus was probably crucified. We will visit the Garden Tomb where we believe He was buried. We will celebrate the Lord s Supper in this peaceful, restful atmosphere in the gardens of the tomb. We overnight in JERUSALEM. Dinner DAY 11: After breakfast, we leave Jerusalem and travel parallel to the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea the ancient Roman City we read about in Acts and we visit the Hippodrome and ancient Aqueduct on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea. Then we travel to Mount Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. We will also visit Megiddo where we will overlook the breath taking Valley of Jezreel (where the Battle of Armageddon will take place). In Nazareth, the town where the angel appeared to Mary and where Jesus grew up, we will visit the Nazareth Village. This village, situated in the area where Christ grew up, is a reconstruction of a town from the time of the New Testament. We will follow the Parable Tour, where we will experience village life as we know it to have been in the 1st Century AD. Following this we visit Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine. Here you can purchase pure Cana grape juice. There will be opportunity for married couples to renew their marriage vows at the Traditional Vow Church. We finish the day with a visit to the Jordan River at the Yardnit Baptismal Site where there will be opportunity for those who would desire to be baptized. We overnight in TIBERIAS. Dinner DAY 12: After breakfast we visit wonderful places along the Sea of Galilee where Jesus travelled, preached and performed many miracles, including Capernaum (where Jesus taught in the synagogue from Isaiah 61), Tabgha (the site of the feeding of the 5000) the Mount of Beatitudes and the St Peter s Primacy Church where Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him (John 21) Then it is time to go out on the Sea of Galilee in a Jesus Boat (Replica of a boat from the time of Christ). Then it is time to head for the airport for our flight back to South Africa. Dinner DAY 13: After breakfast on flight we arrive back in South Africa where it is time to meet loved ones after the tour of a lifetime with amazing memories to share. But above all: a much deeper understanding of the Bible and a new perspective of the Holy Land and its people. Only limited number of reservations available. 5 GENERAL INFORMATION DEPARTURES are from Cape Town Int. Airport, South Africa. Departures from other destinations can be arranged on request subject to terms and conditions. PASSPORTS & VISAS You must be in possession of a valid passport, with an expiry date at least 6 months after the return date of the tour. Visas for Jordan will be arranged by the tour agent where tours include Jordan. For Jordan inclusive tours ensure that you have at least two blank pages in your passport that are next to one another and not overleaf. If travelling with children ensure you comply with legislation requirements in terms of unabridged birth certificates and consent in the form of affidavit from parent / parents. Persons in South Africa on a permanent residence permit are to ensure they have this in their possession when leaving and re-entering South Africa. TOUR ITINARY If unforeseen circumstances arise eg. war, acts of terrorism, acts of nature etc. the itinerary may need to be altered. Therefore, the itinerary is subject to change. LUGGAGE Luggage restrictions are in terms of the individual airlines regulations but this is normally one piece of hand luggage and one suitcase which must not weigh more than 30 kg. ACCOMMODATION Accommodation is based on the sharing of a double room with a private bathroom. Single accommodation can be arranged at an additional surcharge. It is therefore advisable for you to make arrangements to share with a roommate. POCKET MONEY Your personal pocket money must be in US$. There are money exchange services who will convert these denominations into Shekel and Dinar. You are advised to take it in cash as traveller s cheques often cause problems. You can also arrange to make use of your VISA/Master Card. refunded. However with a minimum of 20 registrations the tour goes ahead and your deposit will be paid over to the airline at which point the deposit becomes non-refundable. This amount will be deducted from your overall tour price. The closing date for registration and payment of deposits is 4 months before departure date with the balance paid in full 3 months before departure date. In the event of a reservation cancellation, fees paid, except the deposit paid over to the airline, will only be refunded if cancellation is made three months prior to the departure date. Otherwise no amount will be paid out. Notification of cancellation must be received in writing three months before departure date. INSURANCE You are responsible for your own travel insurance to be taken out covering cancellation, medical expenses, loss of life, injury and curtailment. GRATUITIES, TIPS AND BORDER TAX An amount of US$45 per person for 9 day tours and US$125 (tips of US$75 and border tax of US$50) for 13 day tours must be handed in as cash to the tour leader before departure from South Africa as soon as tour members have cleared passport control. The gratuities and tips are for the guides, bus drivers, hotel staff and other service providers. This will relieve you of the responsibility of tipping. Where border crossings are undertaken between Israel and Jordan, border taxes are applicable. DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT A proof of deposit of R3 000 must accompany registration forms to reserve your place on the tour.
