17 FAIR TRADE PRODUCTION Staff Outing 2017 TICKET TO THE MOON FAMILY While it is important to us to offer original products that you will enjoy using, we also aim to raise awareness of larger global challenges such as sustainability and fair trade production issues. In all our operations we aim to bring advancement to the community, while respecting local social structures and cultures. All our employees are over 16 years of age, which is above the national age for compulsory education and the legal working age. In fact, we do not employ anybody under the age of 18, so there is absolutely no child labour. Our honest, humane and fair trade corporate values mean all staff within the TTTM family enjoy proper working conditions with social security, a pension, and an average salary that is far higher than the minimum. A percentage of our profit is redistributed equally between employees, based on the number of years they have been with us. We are very proud that staff turnover is only 1,5% per year, which clearly underlines that everybody within TTTM bonds into a unique social tribe, passionate about flying to the moon. MINIMIZING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT By using locally sourced materials and investing in innovative recycling methods, we aim to have a minimal impact on the environment. This includes product and packaging design issues, and aspects of local manufacturing. Any spare fabric, left after our products have been cut, is turned into eco-friendly products. The ongoing urge to minimize our carbon footprint engendered the motto: nothing is left to waste, because we care.

18 FOUNDATION CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY The Ticket to the Moon Foundation was established after three years of field experience: since 2006, a relief project was conducted by travellers in Mandorak County, in the north west of the remote Indonesian island of Sumba. Sensitive to the native circumstances, these travellers teamed up with the locals to help the indigenous Kodi people to improve their living conditions, while preserving the ancestral culture. In over ten years, many concrete changes have been realized new roads were built to facilitate trade and to bridge the gap between the Kodi and other tribes. A Photo Voltaic-powered water well was dug for clean water access, and we built a primary school to teach Indonesian language and a standardized curriculum. In addition, we maintain ongoing programs that provide aid in education, sustainable economic development, renewable electricity and healthcare. The Kodi have successfully reduced the number of malaria victims, with the use of the mosquito nets that we provided.
