Tour Pricing Shore Excursions are priced per person in the specific country s local currency. Although most tours provide transportation and a local guide, many destinations also have private transportations for customized tours. Please check the tour description for amenities such as food, drinks and entrance fees. If you decide to leave or deviate from the tour at any time, you will be responsible for the cost to get back on board the ship including any other unrelated expenses. You will not receive a refund for any services that are not utilized. Children All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult on all tours. Children s pricing is available on many tours for guest ages Children ages 3 and under are free. Gratuity Tour pricing does not include gratuity unless specified. Extending a gratuity to your guide and/or driver is strictly optional; however in some countries, your guide may anticipate that if you are pleased with their services, you will reward them in a monetary fashion. Generally, an appropriate tip would be $4-$6 USD per person for a half day tour and $10-$15 USD per person for a full day tour. 19 Adult / Child USD 3 hr(s) 30 min(s) 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm Seaplane only access to Alaska s famous Taku Glacier Lodge combines classic powerful aircraft, true wilderness, 5-massive glaciers, possible bears, vivid history with dog sledding roots, seafood and exclusive glacier view dining! You're in for the journey of a lifetime. Fly in a classic dehavilland seaplane over 5 breathtaking glaciers flowing from the Juneau Icefield, deep blue crevasses, snow-capped mountains, and the lush Tongass National Forest. Seeing glaciers from the air is an Alaskan must do, and doing so by authentic Alaskan bush plane is the quintessential Alaskan experience! The Taku River will be your "runway" as you land at the elegantly rustic historic Taku Lodge, built in 1923 and located across the river from the 5 mile wide Taku Glacier, Juneau s largest glacier and one of only a few advancing glaciers in the world. Savor an all-you-can-eat feast of Fresh Wild Alaska Salmon grilled to perfection, a chicken alternative, Taku baked beans, coleslaw, pioneer fruit compote, fresh herb biscuits and sourdough bread, all made from scratch. Drinks are chilled and served with actual glacier ice and special-recipe ginger cookies complete the meal. The scrumptious aroma of the alderwood grill attracts not only visitors daily, but also wild black bears. Take a guided interpretative nature walk, stroll the trails or soak in the serenity of a place barely touched by time before your return flight to Juneau. Approximately 50 minutes flight time. All participants enjoy a window seat for enhanced viewing and a headset for continuous narration. The Taku Glacier Lodge is on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the most important modes of transportation in Alaska is the seaplane (also known as a floatplane), allowing you to escape into the true Alaskan wilderness within minutes of leaving the ship. While wild bear sightings are frequent, they can never be guaranteed. JU05 5-Glacier Seaplane Exploration Adult / Child USD 1 hr(s) 15 min(s) 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm The grandeur of Alaska s epic glaciers will thrill and delight you on Juneau s only 5 glacier flightseeing tour. Seeing glaciers from the air is an Alaskan must do, and doing so by authentic Alaskan bush plane is the quintessential Alaskan experience! Your seaplane exploration begins as your aircraft gently takes off from the historic downtown waterfront carrying you over Juneau s mining past. En route you will soar over the lush wilderness of the Tongass National Forest until your first glimpse of five distinctly different majestic glaciers making up the 1,500-square-mile Juneau Icefield. Glide over the deep crevasses and azure blue meltwater pools of the Norris, Hole-In-The-Wall, East and West Twin Glaciers, plus the famous five mile wide Taku Glacier. Of the 36 named glaciers comprising the Juneau Icefield, the Taku Glacier is the only glacier that is actually advancing, not retreating - one of only a few in the world. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the magical memories this trip is sure to provide. Approximately 40 minutes flight time. All participants enjoy a window seat for enhanced viewing and a headset for continuous narration. One of the most important modes of transportation in Alaska is the seaplane (also known as floatplane) allowing you to escape into the true Alaskan wilderness within minutes of leaving the ship.
