1. Introduction STS (U.K) Limited were commisioned by Red Kangaroo Trampoline Parks to undertake a fully independent, unbiased and regulated inspection of the trampoline park at the address stated below. As a Type A inspection body, STS (U.K) Limited attended the site and undertook a visual inspection of the park in accordance and conformity to BSI PAS 5000:2017 (Parts 4 & 5). The information and findings found collaited in this report were observed upon attendance to site at the prior agreed date of 18 th June 2018. The inspection took place at the following address: Site Address: Red Kangaroo Trampoline Parks, 8 Bridgewater Cl, Reading RG30 1JT The inspection was carried out to determine the suitability, installation quality and current state of each structural component making up the trampoline. Both publicly accessible and authorized access areas were inspected to ascertain a full visual inspection of the trampoline systems currently installed within the trampoline park. All components of any novel activities were also inspected to the PAS:5000 document. Upon completion of the visual inspection of the pre-installed trampoline systems and all novel activities, a thorough paperwork inspection was carried out to ensure the park had all the relevant safety information, in accordance with PAS:5000 Part 5. As well as a clear and precise system for the organization of paperwork such as an Emergency Action Plan, Insurance Documentation, Records of First Aid training and COSHH Datasheets readily available in case of an emergency. This inspection report contains the information from the inspection carried out at the aforementioned park on the prior agreed date only and lays out the findings of the visual inspections when checking components of both trampoline systems and all novel activities. Both Major and Minor non-conformance findings will be listed to their relevant sections in BSI PAS 5000:2017 (Parts 4 & 5) as well as any recommendations to fix/repair/replace or change the components deemed unfit and unsafe for public use. Information regarding the BSI PAS 5000:2017 Part 4 major and minor non-conforming components can be found in Section 2 of this document. The equivalent information regarding BSI PAS 5000:2017 Part 5 can be found in Section 3 of this document. With regards to Section 4 & Section 5 conformance. The determining of conformity is based upon the installation, construction and operation of the park and the systems being used. If any aspect of the trampoline system installed in the park is found to not comply with the rules and regulations set out in BSI PAS 5000:2017 Section 4 or Section 5. The appropriate determination of minor or major non-conformity will be detailed and a recommendation provided within this document. 3 P a g e

2. Part 4 Inspection 2.1 Major on-conformance o Issues Found 2.2 Minor on-conformance Under the main trampoline area, four springs were found to be either missing or unfastened. Two of which were able to be replaced/corrected. Two still need to be replaced. On the Bash + Bounce trampolines, some banding/stitching was found to be coming loose. The containment netting around the trampolines is 3700mm and not the required minimum of 4000mm. The lowest obstacle from the ceiling is 4900mm, not the required minimum of 5200mm. Exit signs are required to show the exits of the foam pits. One section at the back of the park within 1500mm the angled trampoline isn t padded. There are truss columns not padded around the obstacle course. 2.3 Recommendations It is recommended that the missing springs under the main trampoline area will need to be replaced. All containment netting needs to be raised to at least 4000mm. The lowest obstacle from the ceiling will need to be padded and a caution sign to inform of the lower headroom. Clear exit signs will need to be put around the pits ensuring they don t cross the path of the entrance points. Padding will need to be added to the angled trampoline at the rear of the park as well as padding on the truss frames around the obstacle course. Springs were noted to have pierced the trampoline bed. The springs should be turned to the correct position to avoid further damage to trampoline beds. It is recommended that padding or additional safety measures are taken to prevent an accident with the disabled lift near the obstacle park. The height limit marker for the obstacle course needs to be clearer and more visible. 4 P a g e

3. Part 5 Inspection 3.1 Major on-conformance o Issues Found 3.2 Minor on-conformance There was no procedure or risk assessment for contractors. A form signed by each employee will need to be created and signed to show they have read and understood the risk assessment. Proof of training is required to show that employees have been trained on emergency equipment. 3.3 Recommendations It is recommended that with regards to the COSHH data sheet folder, there should be a contents page to ensure a quick response if a member of staff needs information to treat exposure to a dangerous substance quickly as well as updating the folder to cover all substances on site. With regards to cleanliness and hygiene, it is recommended that a last service time be displayed in the toilets. 5 P a g e

4. Conclusion Following the inspection at Red Kangaroo Trampoline Parks, 8 Bridgewater Cl, Reading RG30 1JT. A number non-conformance issues were found as mentioned within this document along with recommendations as to improve the quality of the health and safety of the park. The issues have since been addressed by the park and the Inspectors can confirm these will be dealt with in due course, to be complete by the next inspection (12 months) at the latest. With the information found and collected by the STS inspectors a certificate of conformity will be issued to the park upon receipt of proof the above non-conformance issues have been addressed and rectified.
