The Mall at Stonecrest, a 1.2MM sf regional mall located just 20 minutes east of Atlanta, has partnered with Atlanta Sports City, The City of Stonecrest and Emory Healthcare to build the mall-of-the-future where retail, entertainment and sports come together as one. The project, costing nearly $350 million, will feature 200 acres of 30 multi-use fields connecting to the Mall s 341,000 sf expansion by a sports-themed promenade. In addition to the retail & sports complex, Emory Healthcare will anchor the project with the Sports Medicine Pavilion and Medical Office Health Park. Construction begins in December 2017 with completion slated for 2020. The Mall at STonecreST is expanding to create Stonecrest Landing, a 341,000 SF sports-themed entertainment complex with fast-casual dining options; a restaurant row including full-service, freestanding family style restaurants; a 125-room hotel; a 20,000 sf SeaQuest Aquarium and Mix Martial Arts (MMA) Bar & Grill. This new retail & entertainment will complement the Mall s existing 100 plus shops and its recent additions of H&M (20,303 sf) and Round 1, a 50,000 sf family entertainment destination with bowling, arcade games, billiards, karaoke and so much more. Atlanta Sports City has purchased the former Kohl s department store building and 14 of the 200 acres that the project will encompass. The two-story former Kohl s building will be transformed into a sporting goods store on the lower level and on the upper level, Tournament Central, an indoor marketplace, visitors welcome center, a 5,000 sf ballroom and tournament lounge. As of today, over 100 tournaments have committed to playing at the sports complex. Along with the multi-use fields, there will also be a 15,000 seat professional soccer stadium and a 200,000 sf indoor athletic facility. An estimated 3 million visitors are expected annually. emory healthcare and Emory Sports Medicine Center is the project s Official Sports Medicine Partner and has been selected to anchor the Sports Medicine Pavilion that will provide the highest level of medical training and rehabilitative services. Along with the Sports Medicine Pavilion, our partnership will create a Medical Office Health Park. This multi-specialty Emory Clinic facility will serve as an East Metro Regional Office. The city OF STonecreST, in November 2016, became the fourth city to incorporate in DeKalb County. The City is home to 50,000 residents and the Mall at Stonecrest. The local government s main focus is promoting business growth and new jobs for the region.

ESTIMATED ECONOMIC IMPACT* The study was conducted to present an economic impact analysis of the business plan provided by Discover DeKalb and ASC. The analysis was produced using IMPLAN, an input-output economic model of the United States. The inputs for the model include the following: 1) The 361 Full Time Employees; 2) Estimated spending by visitors to DeKalb County while attending events at the facility, and 3) Spending by persons attending the home games of the two proposed professional teams. MAJOR FINDINGS Visitors to the complex for tournament events will create nearly $80 million in new demand in DeKalb County for lodging, food, and other items. The economic impact of the facility elsewhere in the state is estimated to be $17.4 million, for a total impact in Georgia of $197 million in economic output. The facility will contribute an estimated $105 million to DeKalb s economy and produce nearly $180 million in total economic output in the county.
