Sheoak 6 Cabin Cluster Each with six bunk beds sharing four external access bathrooms. Blackwood 5 Cabin Cluster Each with six bunk beds sharing three external access bathrooms. Willow 5 Cabin Cluster Each with six bunk beds sharing three external access bathrooms. Total bunk bed capacity: 132 The cabins include mattresses and heating. BYO linen, towel and pillow. Linen packs can also be hired. Two complexes make up the self-contained accommodation Complex 1: Max 14 people Two large bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and four bunk beds. Bathroom, toilet, TV & DVD player. Another room has two bunk beds. Adjoining kitchen / dining room complete with cooking facilities and utensils. Complex 2: Max 4 people Two-bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other two bunk beds. Cosy lounge area plus full kitchen and a separate shower and toilet. All linen is included. Two bedroom apartment Max 5 people Upstairs in the Banksia Centre, offering two bedrooms one with a queen bed, one with 2 single beds and a single trundle bed. Lounge area with TV and a kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge, toaster oven, kettle and utensils. *External bathroom facilities shared with Willow cabins. This apartment includes mattresses fitted with a sheet. BYO other linen, pillow and towel. Linen packs can also be hired. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Bunk cabin accommodation is universal access excluding the Willow cabins cluster. Camping in tents, caravans or motor homes is welcome when in conjunction with a group booking that includes a minimum of 80% bunk cabin occupancy. Guests staying as part of a fully catered group in bunk cabins may upgrade their accommodation to the Banksia Beach Cabins by paying an upgrade fee per room.
Facilities MAIN HALL SELF-CATERING KITCHEN SPORTS, ARTS AND MEETINGS The Main Hall is the camp s primary dining room and is also available as a multi-purpose space. A large bright room with timber floors, two kitchenettes, three small fridges a wide screen Smart TV, DVD player, amplifier and WIFI. The Hall adjoins the Camp Kitchen for full catering and can seat up to 180 people with tables and chairs provided. A versatile space suitable for a conference, all weather activities or family gathering. A fully equipped separate kitchen facility for smaller groups choosing to self-cater. The Kitchen contains an oven with hot plates, a large indoor BBQ plate, microwave, two standard fridges, small chest freezer, instant zip hot water, sink, cooking utensils and small TV. A large covered outdoor area extends from the kitchen for groups to gather and dine. Bring your own crockery and cutlery or hire ours for just an extra $1 per person. Additional, portable gas BBQs are also available for hire. Known as the Banksia Centre, this full sized indoor basketball stadium can also be set up for other sports including volley ball, netball or badminton (all nets and hoops are supplied). An adjoining performing arts room can be used as a flexible space for music practice, dancing or other indoor activities. A portable PA system is available if required. The Centre includes a fully-equipped kitchen plus two meeting rooms which can be opened into a single space with a kitchenette, whiteboards, a Smart TV, Blu-ray DVD player and WIFI. EXCLUSIVE USE Group bookings of at least 65 people will be given exclusive use of the Camp facilities, excluding the sports and arts centre and Banksia Beach Cabins. Group Bookings under 65 people can elect to have exclusive use of the Camp by paying an additional fee.
Catering DINING MADE EASY Camp Banksia offers a variety of fresh and delicious meals prepared by our on-site cooks. Fully catered camps receive three main meals, morning and afternoon tea and supper served in the main dining hall or as takeaway options. Groups also have access to fruit, cordial and water throughout the stay. Tea and coffee facilities are available 24 hours. The kitchen can cater for a range of dietary requirements and special needs with advance notice. Within the usual laws of Tasmania, the consumption of alcohol is permitted at Camp Banksia. Celebrating a birthday while on camp? The catering staff would be happy to bake a cake for the occasion. Please notify Camp Management of this request prior to arrival. Camp Banksia is a nut free environment. Please do not bring peanuts or other nut varieties onto the site. Fresh food, fresh ideas and fresh approach!

Conditions of Hire GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS The hirer nominated on the application form will be the primary contact between the Group and the Camp in finalising the booking details. Camp Banksia is a fire monitored facility. Smoking is prohibited within 10 metres of any camp building. Off street parking is available. Parking or driving on the camp s grassed areas is strictly prohibited. Small groups who wish to have sole use of the bunk cabin accommodation will be subject to exclusive use fees. No advertising or signage shall be displayed within the Camp facility without consent of the Camp Manager. Organisations are required to hold current public liability insurance. All individuals using Camp facilities and accommodation will comply with Camp rules, regulations, conditions and directions of Camp staff. The hirer is responsible for the group s first aid needs. Correction of any damage to camp building fittings or furnishings beyond regular wear and tear shall be the responsibility of the hirer. The hirer shall sweep accommodation and empty rubbish bins upon departure. A hirer wishing to sell alcohol shall secure the required Licensing Commission permit, provide a copy to Camp Management and nominate a responsible service of alcohol representative. All cancelled bookings are subject to a minimum charge once a signed application form has been received. Cancellations made more than four months before camp commencement will forfeit the booking deposit and incur a fee of $200 for groups less than 65 people or $500 for groups more than 65 and all exclusive use bookings. Cancellations made within four months of camp commencement will forfeit the booking deposit and the 10% Camp Deposit. Final numbers for a camp will be required no less than seven days prior to arrival. The final invoice will be prepared on these numbers and no adjustments will be made for persons arriving late, leaving early or missing meals. Invoice adjustments will only be made on accommodation. All Camp bookings are required to sign an Application for Group Hire form which contains the full terms and conditions.
Booking and Payment Contact the Camp office to make a reservation. Reservations can be held up to three weeks with no obligation. To confirm a reservation, an application form is to be filled in, signed and returned. A booking deposit invoice of $75 for groups under 65 persons and $150 for groups of 65 persons and over or groups requiring exclusive use will be forwarded once the application is received. Initial booking numbers can be approximate. Payment is accepted via cheque (payable to Latrobe Council), EFTPOS, cash and direct deposit. Four months prior to the camp start, an invoice of 10% of the estimated total camp fee will be issued as a camp deposit. Approximately eight weeks prior to camp commencement relevant forms such as accommodation planning, emergency procedures, camp diet and menu planning sheets will be emailed to the camp organiser. Catering forms are required to be returned no less than seven days prior to arrival. Accommodation and emergency procedure forms can be submitted at the office on arrival. ON ARRIVAL Confirm booking details including numbers, catering, activities and expected departure time. Provide a list of names of all members of the group, identifying any special requirements. Receive keys and fire warden materials. Arrange group emergency evacuation briefing. ON DEPARTURE Confirm condition of facilities. Return keys, Camp equipment and fire warden materials. An invoice will be forwarded to your nominated address less any booking deposits and camp deposits already made. Check on or pencil in dates for your next camp to secure your spot.
