Convention will be here at the end of the first week in September. There are 12 people going this year. Membership renewal has started. So renew early in order to get the Early Bird special. We have new items as well as old items to sell at games as well as outside. We hope that everyone will pitch in and help sell 50/50 Raffle Tickets, Enjoy the City Books, and Coffee Packets. We will again be having Lottery Tickets for 2009. These will be available by September 1, 2008. The Enjoy the City Books are in ready for sale. These items make great stocking stuffers. Ann Paddock has some great trips planned for this year. We hope to see new faces as well as our faithful, on some of these excursions. We have a great time on these trips. This is a great way to support the team on the road. I will have the sign up sheet for working the games at the September meeting. Hockey is almost here so let's get out and support the Amerks and the Booster Club. We are again selling 50-50 raffle tickets at the games. Please stop by the table to buy tickets or sign up to help sell them. 2008 Lottery Calendars are $5 as of September 1 2009 Lottery Calendars are $20 as of September 1. If you have certain numbers you want, please see either myself or Mike Petta. Rochester Americans Booster Club will be doing a fund raiser called "The Ultimate Coffee Break". We will be selling $1.00 per pack flavored coffee packets. The flavors include: 100% Colombian, Chocolate Raspberry, Cinnamon, French Roast, French Vanilla Crème, Hazelnut Crème, Jamaican Me Crazy, Natural Decaf, Pumpkin Spice and Rain Forest Nut. Each packet makes one 12 cup pot of coffee. Order blanks will be available at the General Meeting on September 18th or you may get one by calling Laurie Gavigan (585-392-2276) or Virginia Paddock or Karen Hutchinson. We will give you one month to sell as many as you can. The more we sell, the more the club makes on each packet. So SELL, SELL, SELL. Take the order blank to work, sporting events, family gatherings. Suggest that they buy for the holidays. These $1.00 packets would make great stocking stuffers for all the coffee lovers you know. Most people can't survive without their morning coffee, and if they don't drink it, they are sure to know someone that would love it as a gift. We ask that you collect the money with the orders. We will be collecting the order blanks at the October General Meeting and the coffee will be available for picking up at the November General Meeting. That will be just in time for the holidays. We will have a prize for the one person selling the most, and for anyone selling over 100 packets. I hope you will all take an order blank and get some orders. This may not be a huge money maker but every dollar counts. We want to be able to continue to provide great dinners and trips as an organization. And with ALL of your help we can make some money to help pay for those expenses. Any questions, please call Laurie Gavigan. This year we will again be selling the Enjoy the City coupon books. These books sell for $20.00 each. Anyone interested in selling these books, please see Karen, Mike & Sherry Petta or Virginia Paddock. These books are in and have coupons for Fast Food, Fine Restaurants, Golf, Services & Retail, and Entertainment & Recreation. End of the year gift of brief case on sale for $10.00 These are just a few GREAT holiday gift ideas in helping support the Booster Club
