6/18/2018 Deputy Ridley responded to Sardis with Monroe County JFS to do a home visit in reference to a complaint they received. While at the residence drug abuse instruments and narcotics were seized. Megan Wohnhas was arrested and was transported to the Monroe County Jail. 6/19/2018 Deputy Galloway responded to an intoxicated driver on State Route 7. Deputy Galloway located the vehicle and preformed a traffic stop. Deputy Galloway observed that the driver wasn t intoxicated, he was tried. A warning to the driver was issued. Deputy Galloway responded to a medical call in Duffy. Before arriving at the residence, the caller was transported to Wetzel County Hospital by family. Deputy Bilyeu responded to a reckless driver on State Route 78. No contact was made with the vehicle. Deputy Gavin responded to the MCSO for a complaint in the lobby. The complaint was civil and was advised to contact an attorney. 6/19/2018 Deputy Weekley responded to the Beallsville area for a welfare check. He made contact with the individual and everything was fine. Deputy Schuerman and Sgt. Peska responded to State Route 78 for a male with a severe laceration to his left wrist. Upon arrival at the residence, a male was found outside covered in blood. A tourniquet and medical bandages were applied by Deputy Schuerman. The squad transported the male to Barnesville Hospital. Deputy Gavin and Deputy Copley responded to a reckless driver on State route 7 near the Belmont County Line. No vehicle was found matching the description. Deputy Schuerman and Sgt. Peska responded to a physical domestic on Mellott Ridge Road. Upon arriving at the residence, Matthew Hulbert stated that he slapped his wife on the face during an argument. A case/investigation was done and Matthew was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. He was transported to the MCSO Jail. Deputy Bilyeu responded to a reckless driver on State Route 800 South. No vehicle was found matching the description given. Deputy Bilyeu responded to an ATV complaint in Antioch. Contact was made with the juvenile s parents. No charges at this time. Deputy Bilyeu responded to an animal well-being check on Gun Club Road. The horse in question was very old and ill. The horse is being checked by a local vet weekly. No charges filed at this time. Deputy Bilyeu responded to a broken-down semi on State Route 556 at the intersection of Cain Ridge Road. The semi was removed from the roadway. All ODOT/County Permits were valid and being followed.
6/20/2018 Sgt. Warner responded to the call of a suspicious vehicle on Gun club Road. Sgt. Warner made contact with the caller and patrolled the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. Sgt. Warner responded to an alarm at the Ohio Valley Community Credit Union in Hannibal. Sgt. Warner made contact with the keyholder and it was determined that the cleaning crew had left a door open inside the building that triggered the alarm. Deputy Blamble responded to a crash without injuries on Long Ridge Road. Two vehicles hit mirrors as they passed and it was undetermined who was at fault. Minimal damage to both vehicles. Sgt. Warner responded to an alarm at the American Legion in Beallsville. Sgt. Warner was met by the keyholder and it was discovered that the ladies that were there to clean set off the alarm. Deputy Blamble made a traffic stop on State Route 7 in Hannibal. After an investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was stolen out of Jefferson County, Illinois. The male Josh Green was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and the female driver Tabitha Abercrombie was issued a citation for Driving Under Suspension. It was determined that Tabitha was unaware the vehicle was stolen and Josh admitted to Deputy Blamble to stealing the vehicle. 6/20/2018 Deputy Schuerman worked a 2 vehicle accident on State Route 145 at CR 67 involving a tractor and a SUV. Deputy Schuerman responded to a criminal damage complaint in the Lebanon area where a swimming pool was destroyed. Investigation is pending. Deputy Poling and Deputy Schuerman responded to a call at the intersection of State Route 26 and Hartshorn Ridge Road in reference to a crazy man shooting a gun. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the suspect Brandon Groves and the victim Tyler Brough had left the scene. Deputies were able to make contact with all involved parties. Brandon was taken into custody on several charges to include Attempted Murder. 6/21/2018 Sgt. Warner discovered a large tree that had fallen across Moose Ridge Road. Sgt. Warner remained on scene until County workers arrived and put out signs closing that section of the roadway until they could remove the tree in the daylight hours. Deputy Schuerman responded to a tree down on State Route 78 at Saw Mill Hill Road. Deputy Poling responded to a Criminal Damage/Criminal Trespassing complaint at the Sardis Golf Course. The suspect was located and an investigation is pending. Deputy Poling patrolled the Hannibal area for a female that had escaped from a half way house in New Martinsville with negative contact.
6/22/2018 Sgt. Yonely assisted ODOT with a traffic problem on State Route 7 near Sardis. A steel plate that was placed on the road shifted and fell into the hole. ODOT arrived on scene and covered the hole and fixed the road the best way they could. Deputy Bilyeu, Deputy Gavin and Sgt. Peska responded to State Route 7 for severe flooding in three different locations. ODOT, Sardis Fire and EMS also assisted at the different locations. The roadway was reduced to one lane in the South Bound Lane. Sgt. Peska responded to a reckless driver on State Route 26 near Edwina. Upon searching the area, no vehicle was found matching the description. Deputy Gavin arrested John McIntyre on a Warrant out of county. He was transported to the MCSO Jail. He was also charged with possession of drugs. Deputy Bilyeu responded to a suspicious vehicle sitting at the golf course. Upon arriving at the scene, the vehicle appeared to be broken down and the owner was contacted. Deputy Bilyeu responded to a one vehicle accident on State Route 7. The vehicle ran off the road into a ditch. No property damages. 6/23/2018 Sgt. Yonley had a report of a death on Gun Club Road. Sgt. Yonley and Deputy Weekley responded to the scene. No foul play expected. Deputy Galloway responded to State Route 7 near the area of Clarington for a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arriving on scene, the crash is under investigation and the vehicle was towed by Stephens Towing. Deputy Bilyeu and Sgt. Peska responded to a juvenile threatening to harm himself and others. Upon arriving on scene and speaking with him, it was determined the juvenile needed to be transported to a hospital. The juvenile was transported by squad to OVMC for a mental evaluation. A case will be completed and sent to the Monroe County Prosecutor. Deputy Galloway responded to a residential alarm in Clarington. Upon arriving at the residence, all was ok. No report needed. Deputy Galloway assisted a male walking down State Route 7. The male was given a ride to the Belmont County line. Sgt. Peska responded to a tree down on County Road 45. The County was notified and arrived on scene. Deputy Gavin responded to a neighbor complaint on Case Ridge Road. The complaint was handled and no report needed. 6/24/2018 Deputy Gavin responded to a residence in Beallsville involving a juvenile. The complaint was handled and no case is needed.
Deputy Gavin responded to a tree blocking the intersections of County Road 33 and State Route 78. ODOT was contacted and the tree was removed from the roadway. Deputy Galloway responded to a suspicious person on State Route 7 near Fly. Upon arriving in the area, the male was given a ride to Washington County line. Deputy Galloway responded to a reckless driver on State Route 78. No vehicle matching the given description was found. Deputy Weekley, Deputy Ridley and K-9 Ax were dispatched to help Deputy Gavin locate a suspect that fled from him during a traffic stop. The incident is under investigation. Deputy Weekley and Deputy Ridley responded to a Domestic Violence complaint in the Beallsville area. After investigating,one male was arrested. Deputy Weekly responded to the area of Clarington for an alleged hit skip. The incident is under investigation.
