To accept the Director s Report and place it on file. 2. To accept the Ordinance Amendment to create a pedestrian mall at Jefferson School on East Avenue from the south right-of-way of Jefferson Street to the north right-of-way of Oak Street. 3. To recommend awarding the Pfiffner Pioneer Park Restroom Project #17-07 to Eagle Construction in the amount not to exceed $372,772.50. 4. Engineering Division Hoover Grade Separation Project: Engineering Staff and AECOM conducted a meeting to prepare for the upcoming pre-construction meeting that is expected to take place soon. Construction activities will begin middle to late March on this project. Business 51 Project: Nothing to report at this time. St. Michael s Hospital Construction Project: Nothing to report at this time. Prentice Street Reconstruction Project: The public informational/involvement meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15 th at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria room of Pacelli High School. Stanley Street Lane Conversion Discussion: DOT has been consulted to see what resources are available on efforts related to this project. Staff will update the Board as more progress is made. UWSP Science Building Project: There is a street closure being requested by the University for this project in late February. More discussion on this will happen at Public Protection Next Month March Agenda: o There will be multiple project updates and construction project bid awards on the March agenda. Additional Ongoing Director\City Engineer\City Surveyor Projects: o The Engineering Department has been involved with the transition of Directors in terms of department functions and project status. 2 stevenspoint.com

Streets Division Street work o Continued Garbage and Recycling operations. o Sign work continued. o Street lamp maintenance continued. o Building maintenance and repair. o Patching Continued o Continued Snow and Ice Control Operations Equipment maintenance/garage o There were a total of 199 repair orders completed in the month of January. When broken down by department there were; Engineering 2 Inspection 1 Police 20 Parks 24 Fire 9 Streets 139 Water/Waste water 4 Signs, posts, barricades, and flags o 42 signs were replaced or added, 1 because of vandalism and 42 were replaced. o 13 poles were replaced or added, 1 was replaced, 11 for usual maintenance and 1 was moved. Garbage/recycling/yard waste/drop-off o Garbage and recycling carts repaired/replaced/distributed as needed. o Regular and holiday solid waste collection completed. o Regular and holiday recycling collection completed. o City drop-off operations were completed. Leave o 1 floating holiday o 1 funeral leave o 33 days 4.5 hours sick o 16 days 1 hour of vacation o 1 day 2.5 hours of work comp. 3 stevenspoint.com

This ordinance amendment is a result of the Pedestrian Mall project located near Jefferson Elementary School. The modification will be to amend Section 16.09 of the Revised Municipal Code, Creation of Pedestrian Mall by adding East Avenue from the south right-of-way of Jefferson Street to the north right-of-way of Oak Street. ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF STEVENS POINT, WISCONSIN The Common Council of the City of Stevens Point do ordain as follows: SECTION I: That Section 16.09 of the Revised Municipal Code, Creation of Pedestrian Mall is hereby amended by adding the following described area as a pedestrian mall: East Avenue from the south ROW of Jefferson Street to the north ROW of Oak Street. Previously approved capital budget has $204,000.00 available. The low base bid alternate package #2 is for $324,150.00. Staff is looking to approve $372,772.50 with 15% contingency. This item will also appear on the Finance Committee Agenda. Both committees are advisory to the Common Council for approvals. This facility will replace the existing restroom facility at Pfiffner Park. Also enclosed is a rendering of what the restrooms will look like when it is finished.
