Weather permitting, we will be driving to Rush Springs to get the melons. ( That means if it isn t tooo hot we are going on a road trip in our car.) Fall is almost here and some of us have to go back to work, or maybe just me. We are looking forward to a great time at the BEAUTY AND THE BEAST AUCTION. Please save your treasures or go shopping and bring your donation on September 17. ANNND don t forget your checkbooks!!! (More info on page 5.) Be sure to sign up for the Ozark Fall Tour with the Tulsa Club. We will be traveling to Bentonville, AR, with a side trip to Eureka Springs. (More info on page 5.) Last Saturday Activity to Weatherford on June 29th. Nine Model A s, two modern cars and twenty-two members made the trip. Breakfast at Johnnie s in El Reno, stop at Lucille s Historic Gas Station, visit to the Stafford Air and Space Museum, and lunch at Lucille s Roadhouse... Ozark Fall Tour The Fall Tour is scheduled for October 25-27, 2013 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Rooms have been reserved at the Simmons Suits in Bentonville, for $79 per night plus tax including breakfast. The phone number is 419-254-7800 and reservation cut off for this rate is October 1, 2013. We are expecting the Ozark s to have beautiful fall colors during our visit. We plan to leave the Quick Trip at 81st Street and Hwy 51 at 8:30 am on October 25 and drive through Wagoner and Tahlequah before the drive north in Arkansas on Hwy 59. Plans have been made to have lunch on your own in Bentonville on the town square before checking into the hotel (check in time is 2:30). The square has a lot of choices for lunch and you will have time to visit the Wal-Mart Visitor Center. The Crystal Bridge s free art museum is very close to the hotel. Saturday morning will be a drive to War Eagle Mill with a short tour and then on to spend the day in Eureka Springs. After we return to the hotel dinner will be together at a Mexican restaurant. Sunday morning after breakfast we will drive back to Tulsa on Hwy 412. If you have questions email or call Rich Robinson or Harold Helton. So bring your donations, new or nicely used items, to be sold to our members. This can be car items, household items or food items, etc. They may be items for the Beauty (ladies) or the Beast (men). Dinner will be provided, Bill Harris s Chili and sides donated by the board. We will be beginning dinner at 6:30 with the auction following shortly. If you haven t attended a previous auction, you don t know what you are missing. So be sure to mark you calendar, save you donations, and bring your money to have a great time!!!

BOX 83148 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73148 The SOONER MODEL A CLUB is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Model A Ford Club of America. All correspondence for the club should be sent to the address above. General Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the months of January thru November. Meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. and are held at Will Rogers Garden Center at 3400 N.W. 36th in Okla. City. All members are welcome to attend the club s Board Meetings, which are held on the first Tuesday of each month at a location designated by the President and advertised in the Scuttlebutt. Membership dues are $20.00 per year. The primary requirement for membership shall be an interest in the objectives of the organization and a desire to participate in its activities. Actual possession of a Model A Ford is not a necessity. A member must be of good character as to be of benefit to the club, its functions and activities. An active member must be a member of the Model A Ford Club of America.
