DOMUS The Abbey is central to the history of Beaulieu. Founded 800 years ago by Cistercian Monks from France, the Abbey was destroyed by Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monastaries. This left only two buildings intact: the lay brothers' dormitory, known as the Domus, and the Monks' Refectory, now the Parish Church of Beaulieu. The Domus holds a certain mystical quality and is the perfect setting for a dinner, conference or one of our Medieval Banquets. It can cater for up to 150 guests and also offers the reception area of Cellarers Hall. NATIONAL MOTOR MUSEUM FLOOR PLAN JACK TUCKER S GARAGE DISPLAY Enjoy dinner with the cars in the worldrenowned National Motor Museum which houses a unique collection of over 300 vehicles and tells the story of motoring in Britain from the 1890s to the present day. The current building, designed by architect Leonard Manasseh, was opened in 1972 by HRH The Duke of Kent. Many of the exhibits are in working order and are driven on rallies, such as the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, motorcycle runs and events at Beaulieu and overseas. LECTURE ATRE Our purpose built Lecture Theatre seats up to 220 guests. With a full range of projection facilities, it is the ideal setting for a presentation or conference. With its own side entrance guests can enter at ease and with only a short walk from the attraction, they can also benefit from entrance to the National Motor Museum. The Lecture Theatre is fitted with a full suite of AV equipment as well as. The foyer of the Theatre is suitable for registration, welcome drinks, refreshments and light buffets. BRABAZON RESTAURANT & TERRACE In the daytime, the Brabazon caters for visitors to Beaulieu. The unique and versatile layout can provide areas for dancing, a bar, and/or entertainment. PALACE HOUSE Palace House has been in Lord Montagu s family ownership since 1538. Its monastic origins are evident and, once inside, visitors can view the many splendid and varied family treasures, portraits, photographs and memorabilia. Above all, Palace House remains a family home still lived in by the present Lord Montagu and his family and much loved by them. Palace House is the ancestral home of Lord Montagu and offers an impressive backdrop for fine dining whilst still retaining the great warmth and charm of a family home. The Lower Dining Hall will comfortably accommodate up to 36 guests around the long table and the Drawing Room can accomodate 60 guests on banqueting round tables.
