It is imperative that your Pack visit each place on the personalized list in your leader s packet that you will receive on arrival. The order of completion is not important, only that each task is completed by 5:00pm. One leader is required to attend the Leader Meeting at 5:00pm at the Trailmaster Pavilion. All other adults will help the Cubs to prepare for dinner and flags by washing up and dressing in their Class A Cub Scout Uniform. Theme Camp Sam Wood utilizes a theme each year to captivate the imaginations of your Cub Scouts. This year s theme is Scouting Around the World. We strongly encourage your Pack or Den to participate in the theme prior to camp. Building a gate way for your campsite is a great way to get Cubs excited to attend camp. Wearing costumes to opening flags is always adds to the fun! Webelos Trail The Webelos Trail is Camp Sam Wood s program for Webelos Scouts. Webelos Trail offers a sneak peek at the Boy Scout program. Participants may experience Scout Skill areas in cooking, pioneering, knots, knife skills and much more. Join Us This Summer on The Trail!!! Sam Wood Community Activity will be announced at camp Flags/Roll Call The Program Director will do a roll call to see if all Packs and scouts are present and accounted for during Flags. We encourage each Pack to come up with silly cheers or poems. Here is an example, Roses are red, violets are blue, Pack #1 had fun today with all of YOU! Pack #1 is all present and accounted for SIR! Use your imagination and come up with the silliest Roll Call CSW has ever heard! Advancement Policies Cub Scout Camp is where Fun is Number One. Pack and Den Leaders shouldn t be focusing on advancement as much as the fun itself; however, Cub Scouts will earn various requirements as a byproduct of the summer camp program. A complete list of requirements covered will be included in your welcome packet at camp. 4 P age

Closing Campfire Program Campfire programs are one of the most enjoyable memories from summer camp. At Camp Sam Wood the closing campfire is a chance for each Pack or Den to showcase their talents; whether it be singing a song, shouting a cheer, or performing a skit or joke. We encourage each unit to develop a short skit to perform at the Closing Campfire. We ask that your skit be theme based, and of course is optional. Please inform the Program director whether or not your unit will be performing at the closing campfire!
