Raleigh Transit Connection Capital Area Transit (CAT) provides service between the Amtrak station in Raleigh and the Moore Square Transit Station at 221 S. Autos must have 4 in. (10 cm) ground clearance. Vehicles exceeding 65 in. (165 m) in height and 182 in. (4.62 m) in length must reserve oversized vehicle space. Vehicles with low ground clearance, which include those with custom oow profile wheels, may be refused. Oversized vehicles can also be accommodated. Maximum height allowable for oversized vehicles is 88 in. (2.23 m). Maximum width from outside edge of tire to outside edge of opposite tire is 84 in. A limited number of spaces are also available to carry small enclosed trailers, or trailers for transporting boats, jet skis, motorcycles, etc. Call Amtrak for details. We can carry vehicles with luggage packed on the roof in factoryinstalled racks if they are within the specified height limit. Call Amtrak for details. A limited number of spaces are also available to transport motorcycles. Only standard, two-wheel motorcycles can be accepted. All motorcycles must have at least 5 in. (13 cm) clearance between the lowest portion of the frame and the bottom of the tires. Motorcycles with windshields cannot exceed 57.5 in. (1.46 m) in height. We cannot carry motorcycles with side cars, extended forks, ape hanger handlebars, or chopper-style bikes. Passen gers must assist in securing and removing their motorcycles. Animals are not allowed aboard Auto Train except for trained service animals accompanying passengers with disabilities. Animals are not allowed to remain in passengers vehicles.
