The unemployment rate rose slightly to 7.6 per cent (from 7.5 per cent in 212). At close to $1.4 billion, the total construction value was on par with projections. 213 International Business Strategy D4-9 As part of its International Business Strategy, in 213 the Economic Development Office participated in trade missions to Brazil, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, India and the Philippines. Of the total recent immigrants who arrived between 26 and 211, the majority (52.49 per cent or 21,365 persons) arrived from India, followed by Philippines (6.78 per cent or 2,76 persons) and Pakistan (6.31 per cent or 2,57 persons). Brampton saw 29 different ethnic origins reported in the 211 NHS. Brampton s top ten ethnic origins from 211 and 26 are provided below. The average after-tax family income was $81,66 and median aftertax family income was $73,45. The aggregate total income for Brampton was $13.3 billion in 21. $9, The number of households in Brampton was 149,27. The homeownership rate in Brampton was 81.7 per cent - higher than the Ontario homeownership rate of 71.4 per cent. Number of tenant households in Brampton was recorded at 27,255.
