FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND S MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURIES AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. Unsecured portable soccer goals can fall or tip over causing serious injuries or even death. Securely anchor portable soccer goals at ALL times. Remove nets when goals are not in use. Use extreme caution when moving goals. Portable soccer goals should be moved only by authorized personnel familiar with, and physically capable of moving these goals. Chain and padlock unused goal frames face-to-face, to nearby fence posts, dug-outs or any other similar sturdy fixture to prevent tipping. Check all components for structural integrity. Replace damaged components immediately. Check all connecting hardware before every use. Replace damaged or missing fasteners immediately. Fully disassemble goals for seasonal storage. Do not use or store goals on a sloped surface. Keep safety/warning labels clearly visible on goals at all times. NEVER CLIMB ON GOALS. GOAL CAN TIP OVER, CAUSING SERIOUS INJURIES OR EVEN DEATH. Begin by moving the portable soccer goal to its final position on the playing field.. Notice that the bottom leg of each sideframe has a predrilled hole to allow the 3/8" x -3/4" lg. hex head cap screw to pass through. It is located '-0" behind the face of the soccer goal. See Detail A. Detail "A" SIDEFRAME FROM PORTABLE SOCCER GOAL 3. Drive a small rod into the ground, through each hole noted in Step No.. After the soccer goal has been moved out of the way, these rods will identify the locations for the four footings that must be dug for the four ground anchor weldments. 4. Permanently mark this soccer goal as to its location on the playing field for example, East End. In the future, this soccer goal should always be positioned at this end of the field, ensuring the holes will align with the four anchors when setting up the goal. Carefully move the soccer goal out of the way, in order to install the four anchor weldments. '-0" 4 1
5. Dig the footings for the four anchor weldments, using the four rods from Step No. 3 to identify the exact locations. CAUTION Contact your local utility companies to locate buried electrical, gas and water lines before digging holes for footings. Also, check for overhead utilities. See Detail B. Detail "B" SLOPE TOP OF CONCRETE FOOTING APPROXIMATELY 3" BELOW GRADE FOR PROPER DRAINAGE ANCHOR WILL BE INSTALLED FLUSH WITH PLAYING SURFACE 3" 18" HOLES FROM STEP No. 1" DIAMETER FOOTING DETAIL '-0" PLAN VIEW OF GROUND ANCHORS AND SOCCER GOAL '-0" 6. Re-position the soccer goal in its final position on the playing field. The holes in the bottom leg of each sideframe (in Step No. ) will now be located directly above the four footing holes. See Detail B. 7. Assemble one ground anchor weldment (1) to each sideframe using one 3/8" x -3/4" lg. hex head cap screw () and 3/8" flatwasher (4). Tighten the hardware securely. Each ground anchor weldment (1) will now be suspended directly in the center of its hole. See Detail C. 8. Check once more that the soccer goal is properly located on the playing field. After this is done, mix the concrete and fill each hole to the top of the ground anchor weldment, sloping the top of the concrete down and away from the anchor, to provide proper drainage. Before the concrete begins to set, make sure the top of each ground anchor weldment will be flush with the playing surface the ground anchor weldments must not extend above the playing surface. See Detail B. 9. Repeat Steps No. thru 8 for the second portable soccer goal. 10. Allow at least 4 hours for the concrete to fully set, before detaching the soccer goals from their anchors. During this period, do not disturb the installation. 11. Allow at least three days before reattaching the soccer goals and using them for play. Detail "C" Soccer Goal Sideframe 1 4 3
1. The soccer goals can now be installed and removed from their playing position as required, while the ground anchors remain permanently in place. When the soccer goals are not being used with the ground anchors, remove the attachment hardware and store in a secure location. DO NOT leave the attachment hardware in the ground anchors when not in use. See Detail D for a completed installation. Begin by moving the portable soccer goal to its final position on the playing field. Detail "E". Carefully drill two 7/16" diameter vertical holes through the backstay on each sideframe. See Detail E. Holes should be located approximately 8" from the front and back of the soccer goal sideframe. Take extra care to ensure each hole is perfectly plumb. 3. Drive a small rod into the ground, through each hole drilled in Step No.. After the soccer goal has been moved out of the way, these rods will identify the locations for the four footings that must be dug for the four ground anchor weldments. 4. Permanently mark this soccer goal as to its location on the playing field for example, East End. In the future, this soccer goal should always be positioned at this end of the field, ensuring the holes will align with the four anchors when setting up the goal. Carefully move the soccer goal out of the way, in order to install the four anchor weldments. Drill two 7/16" diameter holes vertically through each backstay as shown - approximately 8" from the front and back of the sideframe as shown. 5 8"± 8"±

The holes drilled in the backstays (in Step No. ) will now be located directly above the four footing holes. See Detail F. 7. Assemble all four ground anchor weldments (1) to the backstays using one 3/8" x - 1/" lg. hex head cap screw (3) and 3/8" flatwasher (4). Tighten the hardware securely. Each ground anchor weldment (1) will now be suspended directly in the center of its hole. See Detail G. 8. Check once more that the soccer goal is properly located on the playing field. After this is done, mix the concrete and fill each hole to the top of the ground anchor weldment, sloping the top of the concrete down and away from the anchor, to provide proper drainage. Before the concrete begins to set, make sure the top of each ground anchor weldment will be flush with the playing surface the ground anchor weldments must not extend above the playing surface.
