Path Warden Team Task Final Morham Bank Path Clearance p1 of 8 Path Warden Team Task Final Morham Bank Path Clearance Thursday April 16th 2015 Introduction The Path Warden Team Task for this month was a final clearance on the Morham Bank Path also known as The Clarty Path. A lot of work has been carried out on this path by the dedication and hard work from the Path Warden Volunteers and The Countryside Ranger Service. This task marks the third visit to this path since October 2014 when the clearance work began. A lot of scrub, small trees and vegetation was cut back and cleared away off the path. The path is in two sections the first of which we started back in October 2014. The work carried out ( see report dated 16th October 2014) the second section was carried out in February 2015 (see report dated 12 th February 2015 ) This report produced by East Lothian Conservation Volunteer Andrew Stevenson & edited by David Quarendon

Both sides of the ditch had to be cut out to fit the new bridge level to the ground to make sure the risk of trip hazards are reduced. Supports being fitted to the underside of the sleepers Supports being fitted to the underside of the sleepers The structure flipped over and put in place Filling the gaps at both sides Nearing Completion Completion of the gate as well as the fence Chicken wire being attached to the posts

Path Warden Team Task Final Morham Bank Path Clearance p8 of 8 Summary This task marks the completion of the Morham Bank Path. A lot of hard work was carried out during this and the other two previous tasks by the dedicated members of the Path Warden and Countryside Ranger Team The tasks covered a wide variety of different jobs that had to be done to complete this path such as scrub cutting, cutting branches and trees, litter picking, repairing fences, bridge building and gate instillation. People can enjoy a walk along this path from one end to the other now that the path is clear of obstacles such as trees and branches they can now cross the ditch using the new bridge and through the new gate rather than climbing over the fence at the end of section two.
