The Staunton district consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley: Alleghany, Bath, Rockbridge, Highland, Augusta, Rockingham, Page, Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke and Warren. Scheduled work is subject to change due to inclement weather and material supplies. Motorists are advised to watch for slow-moving tractors during mowing operations. When traveling through a work zone, be alert to periodic changes in traffic patterns and lane closures. (NEW) or (UPDATE) indicates a new entry or a revised entry since last week s report. ALLEGHANY COUNTY INTERSTATE 64 (UPDATE) Mile marker 0 to 41, eastbound and westbound Overnight, mobile lane closures for vegetation management. June 3-7 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mile marker 29 to 36, eastbound Alternating lane closures for milling, paving and pavement marking. Weekdays through June 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (UPDATE) Various roads Flagger traffic control for mowing and pavement patching at various locations. Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Route 600 (Morris Hill Road) Road closed through June 7 for bridge work over Rucker Hollow Stream and Dry Branch tributary. Residents will have access to properties on either side of the bridges. Through traffic will follow posted detours.

Route 638 (Natural Well Road) Road closed for Jackson River bridge replacement between Route 687 (Jackson River Road) and Route 666 (East Morris Hill Road). Follow posted detour. Estimated project completion summer 2019. Route 696 (Selma-Low Moor Road) Occasional flagging operations as needed near Route 1101 (Winterberry Avenue) and I-64 for intersection improvements. June 4-8 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (NEW) Route 42 (Little Calfpasture Highway) Single lane closures for guardrail work between Route 703 (Hewitt Road) and Route 685 (Lehigh Road). June 4-18 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Route 610 (Howardsville Turnpike) Road closed to through traffic through summer 2018 between Route 912 (Hodge Street) and Route 660 (Lake Road) for roadway and utility work. Route 912 and Route 660 will serve as detour routes. Residents will have access to Route 610 with flagger traffic control. Route 742 (Willow Spout Road) Flagger controlled alternating lane closures for pipe installations and tree removal from Route 11 (Lee Highway) to Route 744 (Leaport Road) as part of a Rural Rustic repair project. Temporary signals control traffic across bridge over South Fork Shenandoah River, at Page county line near town of Shenandoah. Vehicle width restriction of 10 feet. Estimated completion of project November 2018. Route 636 (Cub Run Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 602 (Point Road) to dead end. Through June 6 Route 672 (Pineville Road) Flagger traffic control for pavement operations from Route 253 (Port Republic Road) to Route 655 (Lawyer Road). Weekdays June 1-7 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Route 715 (Kettle View Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 636 (Runkles Gap Road) to dead end. Through June 6 Route 738 (Dry River Road, Bridgewater area) Road closed to all traffic (including pedestrians and bicycles) south of Route 257 during bridge and intersection construction. Flaggers or temporary signals control traffic on both sides of the bridge over South Fork Shenandoah River, at Rockingham County line near town of Shenandoah. Vehicle width restriction of 10 feet. Route 611 (Vaughn Summit Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 654 (Sunnyview Drive) to Route 605 (Beahm Lane). Through June 6 from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Route 615 (Serenity Ridge Road) Intermittent lane closures with flagging operations for Rural Rustic Road project from Route 615 (Egypt Bend Road) to dead end. Through August 31 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Route 654 (Mims Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 660 (Kibler Hill Road) to Route 611 (Vaughn Summit Road). Through June 6 from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Route 658 (Rocky Branch Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 674 (Red Church Road) to national park boundary. Through June 5 from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Route 660 (Springfield Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting from Route 656 (Hulse Road) to dead end. Through June 6 Route 666 (Batman Hill Road) Pilot truck/flagger controlled traffic for surface treatment and line painting at Route 612 (Rocky Branch Road) to end of hard surface. Through June 6 from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. SHENANDOAH COUNTY Mile marker 275 to 276, northbound Overnight single lane closures as needed for paving operations, 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. through June 5. (NEW) Mile marker 281 to 274, southbound Overnight single lane closures as needed for paving operations, June 4-6 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. (NEW) Mile marker 297 to 298, northbound and southbound Overnight single lane closures for bridge inspection over Norfolk Southern railway, 8 p.m. June 6 to 7 a.m. June 7.

Route 11 Single lane traffic for Cedar Creek Bridge replacement between Route 629 (Oranda Road) in Shenandoah County and Route 840 (Water Plant Road) in Warren County. Northbound traffic use right lane of new Cedar Creek bridge. Southbound traffic uses right lane of the existing southbound bridge. Traffic pattern in place through mid-june. Speed limit 35 miles an hour. Estimated project completion summer 2018.
