THE SILVER SIGNAL www.lonestartreasure.com April 2010 1 Paul Wilson Dave Totzke Peter Krell Robert Jordan Lone Star Club Executive Officers President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer President s Corner by: Paul Wilson We had a great meeting last month with over 40 members and guest in attendance. The club is growing and it seems every meeting we have visitors that want to join. Our own Rusty Curry had a very interesting and informative presentation on digging in the old dumps around Dallas. He brought several display cases and showed what interesting stuff you can find. Thank you very much Rusty! This was the 3rd meeting in a row where we had hot dogs and chips so Ray Walther has agreed to bring them to all meetings. If you want to bring something to complement them, please do.(sweets are nice?) We have decided that we will sell the club s trailer as we no longer need it. We are going to change from the current display booth to using pipe & drape at TCTC Conventions. The asking price to start at $1500.00. If any club member knows anyone looking for a trailer contact Mike Skinner 214 354-8492. We had our first progressive hunt with 14 signed up and 8 paid and only 4 showed up to hunt so they split 40 bucks and went home. We may need to kill this idea unless everyone is just waiting for the last hunt to play, I need some feed back at the next meeting. Paul
Page 2 March Meeting We had a great turnout for the March 2010 meeting. There were around 40 people. Rusty talked about dump digging and showed some of his finds. Thanks Rusty.
