These interactive small group discovery sessions provide an opportunity to explore in greater depth themes introduced during the Workshops. They last 30 minutes. Rock Break-out Sessions: * 1. Jesus & Elijah: Rolling away the stone, coming out of the cave - Explore the enlightening forward steps made for mankind in overcoming the limitation and darkness of life entombed in materialism. 2. Moses & Joshua: The dry land appearing, solidity of Spirit demonstrated - See how the Red Sea and Jordan River crossings point to the practicality of a secure sense of spiritual substance. 3. David in the Wilderness: Masculine and Feminine qualities never at war - Examine the masculine and feminine attributes exhibited by various characters while David was in the wilderness, and how an uplifted sense of these qualities conjoin naturally to protect and support each of us in our lives. Water Break-out sessions:* 1. Jesus & Peter: Dominion of the Mind of Christ - Investigate the events surrounding Jesus calming of the storm and Peter s walking on the water. How did they illustrate the ability of the Mind of Christ to overcome discouragement, grief, terrorism, and violent personal tendencies? 2. Moses & Joshua: The dry land appearing, unobstructed progress - Explore together how the Red Sea and Jordan River crossings indicate passage through the wilderness of change, fear, loneliness, or lack. 3. Pison and Gihon Rivers: Examine these metaphors for the healing effects of Truth in the world and in life. 4. Hiddekel and Euphrates Rivers: Discover what the experiences of Daniel and the prophesies of Revelation may uncover about the protected and undepleted sources of strength, health, and capability in man. Plant Break-out Sessions:* 1. Jeremiah s vision: Being rooted in Spirit withstands drought. 2. Biblical bark, branch, leaves, and fruit: Jesus, Ezekiel, and Revelation all provide inspirational metaphors referring to how we can have sustainable, fruitful, satisfying, productive lives and relationships. 3. The seed within itself: our true origin and heritage - What determines identity and relationships? 4. The soil of an honest and good heart: sustainable giving - How do we cultivate receptive hearts from hard soil and keep it fertile?, How do we pray the Lord of the harvest for willing gardeners? *# of Break out sessions dependent on interest and # of participants Young Adult Option Christian Scientists age 20-29 Workshops alone for this age group are free. See the Young Adult Registration and Permission forms for the Itinerary, as well as meal, lodging, and activity prices Most will want to camp at the Wawona Campground with their peers where a riverside Sunday Morning Service will take place. Dave & Cindy Bladen-Martin 55211 Pahuma Lane North Fork, CA 93643 Phone: 559-877-2009 Email: inspiresight@sti.net Gift Certificates Available. A great Mother s Day Gift! InspireSight s Bible Workshops in the Yosemite Area The motivation for these workshops comes from a love of sharing the quiet and inspiration of nature and the light the Bible and Mrs. Eddy s Writings shed on their substance. Mrs. Eddy loved nature in the degree it reflected Divine Truth and Love. In writing to a church in New England, she spoke of the inhabitants of the Granite State as... rich in signs and symbols, sermons in stones, refuge in mountains, and good universal. The rocks, rills, mountains, meadows, fountains, and forests of our native State should be prophetic of the finger divine that writes in living characters their lessons on our lives. Jesus often used natural metaphors to teach spiritual facts, as did Mrs. Eddy. Inspiresight Workshops facilitate the exploration of these hieroglyphs of Deity and the lessons they illustrate. The workshops provide for sharing among participants while exploring the natural metaphors in the Scriptures. These workshops are designed for those already familiar with the Science of Christ. It is important to note in this context, that the workshop sessions are not intended to teach or to introduce Christian Science. These roles are fulfilled within the Christian Science movement by the Boards of Education and Lectureship. Mrs. Eddy writes In sacred solitude divine Science evolved nature as thought and thought as things. As mortals awake from their dream of material sensation, this adorable, all-inclusive God, and all earth's hieroglyphics of Love, are understood; and infinite Mind is seen kindling the stars, rolling the worlds, reflecting all space and Life, but not life in matter. Wisely governing, informing the universe, this Mind is Truth, not laws of matter. from Voices of Spring, Miscellaneous Writings, 329 See our web ad at csdirectory.com/marketplace/seminars
