INCLINERS NEWSLETTER January 2018 Volume 30, Issue 1 President s Message December included two great Incliners events. At the potluck, your Incliners Board supplied a hearty beef stew prepared by Gordon Morse and his helpers. Afterwards we had fun with a holiday trivia contest. Our holiday party was also a huge success with a delicious dinner catered by Crosby s and a visit by Santa to give away Belgian chocolates, wine and poinsettias to many of the participants. 2018 will start off with many fun filled events: Tuesday, January 2, we will have our monthly Potluck-Bingo event. Wednesday, January 3, begins our weekly Après ski luncheons at great food and, hopefully, great snow conditions. We re still looking for hosts for some of the dates. If you re interested please contact Jim Beres, the coordinator for this event. Thanks to all the volunteer hosts who will supply the luncheon goodies. Wednesday, January 10, begins the 55+ Ski Clinics at. These clinics are suitable for all skill levels and finish each Wednesday in time to enjoy the Incliners lunches. Please contact the Rec Center for details. Tuesday, January 16, we will have a Super Bowl themed dinner including a free Super Bowl Squares Pool. Squares will be given to the first 100 people to arrive. After the Super Bowl takes place on February 4, the winners of each quarter will receive a gift card. Don t forget to wear your favorite football team jersey or colors! On a serious note, due to the unexpected large number of guests and walk-ins without reservations at our holiday party, we had to add tables, chairs and make last minute catering adjustments. Since then, the Board has updated our reservation, cancellation and walk-in policy to better serve our guests and avoid cost overruns with our contracted services. Please see the note below in the newsletter. Happy New Year to all the Incliners and please remember to pay your 2018 dues by January. Jim Beres, President 2017 18 NEW POLICY: Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the event are non-refundable. Non-members, guests, and walk-ins will be charged $40.
