Report for Monday, September 10, 2018 through Monday, September 17, 2018 S. Perry Park Rd. (DC105) and Red Rocks Dr. Intersection Improvements Safety improvements on the S. Perry Park Road (DC 105) and Red Rock Drive Intersection Improvements will include adding a south bound right turn lane and a north bound left turn lane in the through lane, thus removing the slowing/stopping left and right-turning vehicles accessing Red Rock Drive from the higher speed vehicles traveling on S. Perry Park Road (DC 105). The intersection improvements will begin Sept. 4 through approximately Dec. 28 and typical work hours will be 7am to 7pm. Early utility locating and potholing work may begin later next week, as the contractor is able, which may require intermittent lane and shoulder closers. Chambers Road Widening Project (Lincoln to Mainstreet) Sunday 9/9/2018 Saturday, 9/15/2018 Contractor will be working on the east side of Chambers Road project. No lane closures scheduled. Sunday 09/09/2018 Blakeland Drive and Riverview Parkway will intermittently be reduced to one lane for road construction. Saturday 09/15/2018 Blakeland Drive will intermittently be reduced to one lane for road construction. Meridian Boulevard Phase 1 Sunday 09/09/2018 through Saturday 09/15/2018 Meridian Boulevard between Oswego Street and Belford Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction for road reconstruction. Business access will remain open. Democrat Rd Drainage Improvement Project Rocky Mountain Excavating started work on improving a drainage outfall next to the shoulder of Democrat Rd within the Timbers at the Pinery on July 24 th, 2018. They will be repairing a storm sewer outfall into a drainage channel with a new concrete drop structure and additional riprap to protect against channel erosion. Work will also include new curb and gutter, seeding and mulching. Work hours will be 7am to 7 pm with anticipated completion in September 2018.
Parker Rd & Tomahawk Rd Drainage Improvement Project JBS Pipeline Contractors continues to work on improving storm sewers and drainage channels adjacent to shoulders at the intersection of East Parker Rd. and Tomahawk Rd. The work includes extending and adding storm sewer pipes, adding inlets and re-grading drainage channels. Work will improve drainage and roadway shoulder safety. Traffic control is currently in use intermittently, as shoulder work requires it. Work hours will be from 7am to 7pm with anticipated completion still in September of 2018. Monday, September 10 and Tuesday, September 11 from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. - Westbound Full Freeway Closure E-470 to Yosemite: crews will close westbound C-470 from E-470 to Yosemite St. During these closures, northbound and southbound I-25 ramps to westbound C-470 will remain open. These closures are necessary to pave a single lane median section for the E-470 to westbound express lane bridge. The Southeast Rail Extension Project will expand the Southeast Rail Line 2.3 miles from Lincoln Station to RidgeGate Parkway in Lone Tree. The expansion encompasses three new stations as follows: the Sky Ridge Station and Kiss-n-Ride near Sky Ridge Medical Center; a second Kiss-n-Ride at the future Lone Tree City Center Station; and a 1,300- space Park-n-Ride at the RidgeGate Parkway Station. The 2.3-mile extension includes a 5-span, 620-foot-long bridge over Lincoln Avenue; an 11- span, 1,397-foot-long bridge over I-25 and a 4-span, 506-foot-long bridge over RidgeGate Parkway.
