Parking Parking within the school compound is strictly for cars with valid official car labels. Designated red bays are reserved for teaching staff and they have been marked in the Transport Centre. Only vehicles with designated staff labels are allowed to park in these red bays. Parents/Guardians are not allowed to park in these reserved red bays. The security guards will wheel-clamp your car if you are found parking in the red bay without a valid label. A fee of $100.00 will be charged to release your car. The parent s car park label allows you to access the Transport Centre but it does not provide you with a car park lot at the Transport Centre. Parents/Guardians with official business with school personnel and by appointment only may be able to park at a white lot, if available. For visitors with no official car park label, as they are registering at the security counter at lift lobby in Transport Centre, they should register their car plate number and get a car slip to place on their windscreen. Other designated drop-off/pick-up points include the Chancery Lane Activity Area and Gates C / B3 along Barker Road. We seek your understanding in this matter as it is very inconvenient for staff to search for a parking bay in the morning when they need to be in school quickly to take care of the pupils. Parents/Guardians are advised to refrain from parking your vehicles outside the school gate or bus bay. Such indiscriminate parking is a danger to other drivers as well as pedestrians. Parallel parking inside the Transport Centre is strictly not allowed as it will cause traffic obstruction and affect the security level within the area. In addition, the security guard will only allow the cars to enter the campus at arrival and dismissal times of the kindergarten, primary and secondary schools. Access to the Campus via Gates C / B3 Student Activity Area at Chancery Lane Gate C will be opened from 6.45 to 8.00 a.m. (Mondays to Fridays) and 2.25 to 3.00 p.m. (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays). Gate B3 will be opened from 1.25 to 2.00 p.m. (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays), 1.15 to 2.15 p.m. (Wednesdays) and from 1.55 to 2.25 p.m. (Fridays). These gates will be manned by a security officer. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to use these gates to pick up and drop off their sons/wards so as to ease the traffic congestion at the Transport Centre. Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has given the school a Temporary Occupation Licence (TOL) to use the area at the Chancery Lane as a Student Activity Area. The school has been strictly informed by the SLA that it should not be used as a carpark. The Student 6
Activity Area at Chancery Lane is used by our students for various outdoor activities. The school has designated it as a pick-up and drop-off point to ease the traffic situation at Dunearn Road only during peak hours. Failure to comply with the SLA s regulations may see the TOL revoked by the SLA. The opening hours of the Student Activity Area at Chancery Lane for pick-up and drop-off purposes are as follows from Mondays to Fridays: Morning : 6.30 8.00 a.m. Afternoon : 12.00 3.00 p.m. To ease the flow of traffic at Chancery Lane, during the peak morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal hours, Land Transport Authority (LTA) has installed a No right-turn rule onto Chancery Lane when cars exit the Chancery Lane Activity Area. When all cars turn left onto Chancery Lane, it would certainly lead to a smoother flow for cars turning into and out of the Student Activity Area. We ask all parents/guardians to comply with this ruling to benefit your son/ward as you send and pick him from this area. 7
